SHOT 3

Arnav was concentrating on important file, when Akash entered. Arnav halted what he was doing to turn to look at his brother.

"Dinner?? asked Akash

"I have to complete this, Akash. I will join you later. Said Arnav

"Come on, Arnav. Teri wali Palak Paneer aur kheer banarahi hai. Said Akash with a smirk

Arnav looked at his brother pointedly, "Voh meri wali nahi hai.

"No? asked Akash. "Arnav, she is more like a part of the family now. She visits temple with Daadi, plays chess with papa every weekend and now also stared to attend kitty parties with mom. She has already become Raizada's Half Bahu.

"Come on Akash. Not you too. Complained Arnav.

Khushi has more or less becomes part of Raizadas in the past six months. Everyone is now clearly aware of her interest in Arnav Singh Raizada much to Arnav's chagrin. The worst part is that his whole family is amused by it and encourages it. His Daadi keeps on telling him how perfect Khushi is for him. His parents have kind of practically adopted her. Arnav won't be surprised if they disown him, if he by mistake makes her sad. And the most surprising member of her fan club is NK. When Khushi promised that she will cheer up NK, Arnav thought that she will only talk to him and convince him. But, Khushi went on and brought her cousin Lavanya to Mumbai and in her language Dono ki setting karva di.'

Arnav was completely against the idea. However, seeing Lavanya and NK together no one can help but be awed by the fact that Casanova Raizada is now completely smitten by the fiery girl. Daadi also declared them to be perfect'.

Though Khushi hadn't directly asked him about accepting her condition and be her boyfriend, she has clearly been dropping hints always putting Arnav in spot.

Everyone was already in dining table, when Arnav went to there. Khushi, as usual was the centre of everyone's attention. She was narrating one of her escapades from a strict professor.

"Thank god, I escaped. That man would have made me a kebab for disturbing his class. Said Khushi

"Ha, she escaped leaving me behind. Complained NK

Arnav could never understand how easily NK and Khushi have become best of friends all of a sudden.

"NK, more important than being mischievous is having a plan to escape from it. Raj, Arnav's father, warned

"Were you mischievous as a kid, Raj uncle? asked Khushi.

"Haan, bahut. Answered Daadi.

"Tabi toh NK is so naughty. Said Jhanvi. "I had hard to time managing him as a kid.

"Yeh, Akash bhi. Added Daadi, " He used to run around the whole house at the sight of food in my hand. He hated to eat.

"Aur Arnav? asked Khushi eagerly looking at Jhanvi. "How was he as a kid?

Arnav lifted his head from his plate to glare at Khushi, but she was looking at his mother expectantly. Akash nudged Arnav with a mocking grin earning a glare.

"Arnav? He was such a shaant bacha. Said Jhanvi. "Never troubled me. Very quietly he used to spend time sketching in his notepad.

"Aww... chorused Khushi, NK and Akash in chorus annoying Arnav.

"Please, guys. Arnav warned

"Khushi, don't worry, even your kids will be shaant. Commented NK making Khushi blush.

"Shut up, NK. Chided Arnav

"Kyun? asked NK with a frown

Completely crazy family' mumbled Arnav as he stood up and headed towards the stairs.

Arnav was leaning on the couch with his leg placed on the table, reading a file, while NK was sitting beside him playing in his phone.

"Buoys... called Akash as he sat on the bean bag opposite his brother after placing a beautiful charm bracelet in a jewel box in front of his brothers.

"What is this? Have we started jewellery business also? asked Arnav

"No, this is the gift I bought for Khushi for her birthday. Said Akash.

"Wow, she will definitely like this Akash, but not more than mine. I and Lavanya have bought her a DVD collection of all Salman Khan Movies from start. Said NK

"Not bad... agreed Akash then turned to Arnav, "What have you bought?

"Me? asked Arnav, "Nothing. He shrugged

"Ahhh gasped NK dramatically. "Nothing?? How rude Arnav.

"Why should I buy anything?

"Come on, Arnav. This is her first birthday after...

"After what Akash? asked Arnav looking at his brother pointedly

"You know, after you both...

"We both! Seriously! Akash what is there between both of us, huh? Nothing. Said Arnav in a sharp tone. "I tolerate all the drama all of you do with her but I am not part of it, okay?

"But, Arnav...

"Give me a break, Akash. I am not interested. How difficult is that to understand?

"If that so, then why didn't you tell her earlier. Why keep her hanging for all these months? asked Akash

"Voh, pagal ladki is not at all ready to listen to me. Its always her manmarzi. What am I supposed to do? I thought after some days she will get over her infatuation. But, I didn't know my own family will fuel her pagalpan.

"But, Arnav... Akash stopped mid sentence as he saw the girl in question standing beside the door with tears rolling down her eyes.

Arnav who turned around was shocked to see Khushi behind him.

"Khushi.. said NK worried

Wiping her eyes, Khushi ran from there.

"Shit! cursed Arnav as he ran behind her.

"Khushi, please listen to me. Called Arnav as he caught up with her just meters away from gate. "Listen, I am sorry.

"No, said Khushi. "I am sorry. I didn't know you were troubled by me so much.

"It is not that...

"I understand. I have been such a pain in the neck. I am really sorry. I didn't realize my love is actually annoying to you.

"Khushi, I didn't mean it. Said Arnav

"What didn't you mean? Calling me pagal? asked Khushi

Arnav closed his eyes in regret.

"I will not annoy you anymore, Arnav. I am sorry. Khushi was about to walk away but Arnav stopped her holding her hand.

Khushi didn't turn to look at him, but didn't try moving either.

"Will you listen to me one minute? asked Arnav

She nodded.

"Remember, I told you I will give us a chance if NK is happy? he asked

She nodded again

"That time I didn't know my family would be involved with you this strongly. It has become like a pressure for me to accept you and that didn't settle well with me. He confessed

"What do you intent to say?'

"Well, if my family is not in picture and I can spend free time with you alone, then I am sure I will have enough time to think about us.'

Khushi turned to him with a frown.

"Do you mean I should make your family hate me? she asked

"Don't be dramatic, Khushi. I just want you to not act like an adopted Raizada daughter. Said Arnav

"But, I love your family. Pouted Khushi

"Okay, quick decision me or my family? asked Arnav

"Er... you?

"Hey, I don't appreciate the uncertainty in your voice.

"Of course you Arnav. She said

"Fine, then don't tell anyone that we are giving ourselves a chance, okay? If everything works out, we will tell them, okay?

"Not if, when. She said cutely

Arnav smiled at her confidence and nodded.
