PART-3

Invitation

After the media chaos, everyone was busy having breakfast in silence. Pallavi was pouring herself a glass of orange juice when Amma noticed the glittering new addition in Pallavi's hand.

"Pallavi, tumhare haath mein ye kya hain?" Amma interrogated happily. 

Pallavi understood what she was referring to. She looked at Raghav and both smiled at each other before she turned to Amma, "Amma, yeh Raghav ne kal hi dia mujhe."

"Haan, Amma, iss bar hamara shaadi mein sab kuch hoga!" Raghav said with enthusiasm. He turned to Pallavi and his voice dropped to a softer tone while eyes reflected sincerity. "Pichhla bar jaisa kuch bhi nehi hoga...."

"Hayye, mere bachcho ko kisi ka nazar na lage!" Amma prayed.

Meanwhile, Keerti was fuming seeing RaghVi's happiness. So, being her evil self, she decided to create a disturbance in their love paradise. "Raghav, yeh wahi gift hain na jo tum uss raat ko laye the jiss raat ko Pallavi humara family dinner chhorke apne pehle pati ke paas chali gayi thi?" 

Raghav closed his eyes to contain his annoyance and Pallavi's smile faded as she remembered the night she ditched Raghav and all the beautiful Maharastratian preparations he had got done for her but she left for the Deshmukh house.

"Keerti, jab tum kuch achchha nehi bol sakta toh kam se kam apna muu band rakkha kar," Amma scolded her.

"Mereko malum hain, media walon ko Mandar ke zinda hone wala baat bhi tumne aur tumhara vo Sunset ne milke bataya hain na, Keerti?" Raghav spoke.

"Haan, toh? Humne koi jhooth thori na kaha hain? Sabko sach janna...." Keerti's reply to Raghav came to a halt when they heard Mandar yelling.

"Jao, Pallavi, tumhara pehla pati aya hain." Keerti said with a smirk.

All of them walked to the foyer to meet Mandar.

Raghav walked into the kitchen and found Mandar and Pallavi talking. He knew this stubborn Mandar won't quit bothering them so easily. Pallavi instantly sensed Raghav's presence and looked at him with a smile.

"Raghav! Achchha hua tum aagaye. Zara yeh sheera khaa ke bataon toh kaisa bana hain." Pallavi signaled him to come closer. 

She held out a spoonful of sheera. Raghav covered her hand with his and ate from the spoon, maintaining an eye-contact with her. Meanwhile, Amruta also came.

"Umm....bohot hi achchha banaya hain tumne, Saree Ka Dukan." Raghav complimented and planted a kiss on her hand.

Mandar was getting angrier with every passing second.

"Wow, Pallavi!" Amruta noticed the ring. "Yeh ring toh bohot hi sundar hain. Pehle kabhi tumhare paas nehi dekha."

Raghav kept a hand over Pallavi's shoulder and happily informed the others, "Haan, kyun ki maine kal hi dia hain usko. Humne decide kia hain ki hum phirse shaadi karenge. Issbar ekdam proper shaadi hoga, sabko invite karega issbar!" 

"That's great! Congratulations, guys!" Amruta wished the happy couple and turned to Mandar, "Dada, aapko kaka bula rahe hain."

Amruta left with Mandar following her close behind. But he did not leave without taking another glance back at the couple. He saw them snuggling closer in each other's arms while uttering "I love you"s to each other.
