Dharam explain all the matter to Sayak Sir after that he said “Prithvi we are all alerted so many times, to change your behavior but you never are.Only you are good at the sport that doesn't make you the attraction of the school. Your attendance was very poor and also the marks. Focused more on your study instead of this stupid biased “

“Now, Miss. Agarwal “Sanyogita bent her head down, “I thought you were a sincere, chivalrous girl but now proved me wrong. I did not expect this from you “

“I will not tell this to the Principal, today I will give you a chance but next time if you people are caught again I will not leave you. I want discipline at school”. Sayak Sir scold them both

The lunch break time had finished 

“Now say sorry to each other and move for your respective classes 

Neither of them was ready to apologize to each other

“Haven't you people understood my language?  Mr. Sayak said squealed

Dharam after the end of the class tried to make Prithvi understand “Prithvi don’t quarrel with her, I know her she is a very good girl

“Prithvi, leave your anger and forgive her, all had happened it was a simple misunderstanding, “Dharam said politely

Prithvi did not argue with Dharam who knew Prithvi could not abandon his word 

After the end of the school, Dharam clarified the matter to Sanyogita, Arjun and Raghav were also with him.

“Sanyo , Prithvi is not bad from heart , I know he got angry easily but when you know it completely, then you will  understand totally “Dharam explain everything to Sanyogita ,A rjun and Raghav also told her ,how they initiate the incident

“Hmm..now forget whatever happened and forgive Prithvi”

Dharam was in a dilemma where he was thinking he would explain his feelings about Sanyogita to Prithvi because Meghna was childish, maybe she took him wrong about her best friend, and on the other hand except Prithvi, he couldn't open up with anyone.

It was Sunday morning Prithvi reddy left for NorthBengal he had to attend the program which will be held on Monday morning. From Kolkata to Darjeeling, it took more than 11 hours in the car, so he decided to take out his car very early in the morning because he will be tired after a long journey. He was viewed from the window on the way leaning on the back seat. After continuous driving of 4hours, he advised his driver to take a rest. The driver stopped his car in front of a lonely place. There was only a small tea stall or local Dhaba present. He came out from his car and stood near an edge of the perched road, keeping his both hands inside his pants pocket, looking at the surroundings which were so beautiful with a gloomy vast sky, cold and quiet environment. How far his eyes could reach his eyes only viewed those wild trees beyond the green harvest field, he saw farmers who were sowing rice plants in the paddy field. After a while, the drizzle started. The driver came and told him to get in the car. Prithvi smiled at him and climbed into the car. From the window seat, he again looked at the beautiful view of nature, the gloomy air of the Flemish landscape entered his nostril. On the way, he witnessed some teenagers who were playing football on the muddy ground in the rain. There came a girl with an umbrella on her head waving at a boy, Prithvi presumed by the gesture when the boy requested her to wait for him a few times. The girl seemed angry at him and started to walk. Then he left his game and went behind the girl and apologized to her. Prithvi conjectured the girl may scold him if he played continuously in the rain he would fall in fever. It reminded him of those days when he was busy practicing and Sanyogita was waiting for him until he finished practicing. He knew how she managed to make time for him despite her busy schedules. Though both of them had brought their cycle neither of them climbed on it. They simply walked up to her tuition classes as it will give them plenty of time to spend with each other.

Cool breeze touche his face, Prithvi closed his eyes it reminds him Sanyogita’s smiling face “Sanyo where are you my love, why it’s difficult for me to forget about you, I know you broke up with me we have nothing between us but I still love you, I don’t know how many days I will love to you may be until my last breath or maybe after that too,”

The pain which you gave me tore my heart every day, something inside me had dropped away when you left me and nothing came in to fill the empty cavern“Why Sanyo why you did that with me, Why you punctured two tires of my bicycle only for you I reached lately for my practice and I got scolded by Our local club dada’’

Prithvi recalled how he started to irritate Sanyogita at school. He used to pull her hair during the school assembly, throw chalk dust on her head, started to puncture her bicycle tires, and tug bubble gum on the handle of her bicycle. more the days there stupid fight also going on, they used to quarrel with each other which became their daily routine. One day he was kneeling down outside of his classroom, He saw someone peeping in his direction, he saw Sanyogita coming towards him.

“So, Mr useless, at the end, you have got the punishment , anyway you must have liked it again and again getting punishment everytime.”

“Look, you stay within your limits, understand what I do and when I get punishment, that's none of Your Business “

“Oh! hello. what do you do and when do you get punishment, I haven't a single bit of interest in it , you are a loser and that you have proved by your action ’’

““I Know that you have scored very well in every unit test, it does not mean that you call me a loser, I am the sport champion of this school, and one day everyone will be by a fan, Well if you want then you too can become my fan”

Sanyogita rolled her eyes “woh just shut up, neither, I have little bit of interests in sports and not in becoming your fan.,I would like to say one thing just stay away from my way”

Sanyogita looked at him with an attitude and left the place.

Sanyogita stood first in all unit tests. Day by day teachers was highly impressed by her behavior and also her performance.

She was undisputedly chosen as the head of the committee to arrange the upcoming Teacher’s day and everybody liked her for her polite nature and also academics performance and smartness. Sanyogita always had a spirit in her work, she liked to take challenges in her life. She finished her planning regarding teachers' day's celebration among the monitors of all the sections.

On the teacher's day, all the respected Sir and Madams wandered while visiting every classroom which was decorated with so many balloons, coloring papers, and flowers of marigold tuberoses across the main entrance gate of each classroom. They all were very pleased by the decorations made by the students. Students gave them a red rose with a file which contained a beautiful pen, a notepad, and also a pack of tasty sweets were given to each teacher.

Many students mimic his or her favorite teachers and explain why they admire them. Some requested them to sing a song on the stage. They had never seen this grand welcome before.

Upon Sanyogita’s suggestion, Meghna also took part in a singing program for the first time and she performed very well. Everybody was impressed by her performance. Sanyogita participates in a dancing competition, She was wearing a saree although Prithvi never praised her beauty that day he couldn't take off his eyes from her he did not reveal it he whispered when Sanyogita came to the stage “yeh Chipkali dance kam uchal zada rahi hai” he knew from inside she performed well but did not want to accept the fact.

It was towards the end of the function when some of the teachers started having strange headaches, dizzy, some blurred out uncontrollable meaningless words, some started dancing by sitting in their position . Vice Principal started wiping continuously. Everyone present there was shocked, some students giggled. Very few teachers along with the Principal who came looked normal.

After the quick test of the food item, the sweet pack revealed that it had some ladoos mixed with cannabis [bhang]

“Where did that ladoos come from ?” asked the principal furiously 

After a silence, someone of the student committees came and said “the food item responsibility was given to a student of class-9”

“Who was that student?”

“Sanyogita Aggarwal “

Teachers scold Sanyogita very roughly, it happened the first time when she scolds by any teachers of her like worst. The principal suspended her as a punishment.

Dharam and Meghna tried to clarify the matter but that was no use as they were already aware of the temper of the Principal.

Prithvi, Arjun, and Raghav also came there. Prithvi saw Sanyogita was continuously crying, Meghna tried to console her, She told her she had not done this why they couldn't trust her, she ran away from there and locked herself in the washroom of the school. Meghna ran after her.

“What happened ?”Why is Sanyo crying?” asked Arjun

Dharam answered “, someone had injected cannabis into the sweets that’s why Principal gave punishment to Sanyogita, she suspends her for 2 weeks”

“But whi could do that things?”Asked Raghav 

“I don't know Raghav , Due to someone's mistake, today Sanyo got the punishment.”

“ I am feeling bad for her, at morning she was so happy, “Arjun said with a sad face

In the whole conversation Prithvi remained silent, he remembered in the morning when she came to them she was looking stunning, even he couldn't take off his eyes, after the end of her performance her smiling face which he noticed for the first time. Her beautiful smile vanished by the bitter tear. 

“ Why are you silent?” asked Dharam

Prithvi looked at him and said “Dharam I have something to confess with you guys“

“What?” he asked in confusion

“Actually ,I had replaced the vangwala laddos " Prithvi confessed with low voice

Dharam, Arjun , Raghav could not believe on Prithvi’s word that he could do this. They knew Prithvi did not like Sanyogita but he could make a plan to trap her in trouble which was shocking for them.

“why Prithvi you have done this to Sanyo ? Dharam asked him in the puzzle

“ Dharam , I just wanted to  teach her a lesson, so he made a little joke,, Sanyogita made fun of me that day after Seeing me there outside of the classroom while punishment . That's why, how it feels like getting the punishment, wanted to make her realize the same thing,, but I didnot have the little bit of hint ki Principal will suspend her gor two weeks, right now I'm feeling guilty What I have deed ”

Dharam sensed the guilty in Prithvi’s voice “Don’t worry, you have realized your mistake that’s enough “

“But Prithvi, what will you do now, Princi has already suspended her ?”Asked Arjun

Prithvi looked at Arjun, he lowered his gaze 

“Prithvi, now go to Sanyo and apologized to her, tell her the truth” Dharam advised 

“But Dharam What is the guarantee that Sanyo will forgive Prithvi? “inquiry Raghav

“anyway Prithvi , there is no other way around, Raghav and if you have made a mistake, then apologize now too. If Sanyo gets to know about this from someone else , it will be better you should go to her now and tell all the truth.“

“You are right Dharam , I have to apologize to her, because of me, I have cried so much today and it is my duty to bring back her smile. “

Dharam nodded his head. Prithvi stepped out from there.

Prithvi was waiting for Sanyogita in the corridor of the ground floor. He saw her arrival, that day he noticed her innocent eyes which became swollen due to crying. She washed her face with water, her front hair was wet. Her nose and ear become red. 

Sanyogita looked at him and immediately removed her gaze from him. Meghna was also with her.

Prithvi call her from back “Sanyogita , mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai “

“Mujhe tumse koi baat nahi karni “she replied softly, Prithvi sensed the aloofness in her voice

“Sanyogita, “Prithvi called her name softly, he walked   and stood in front of her

Sanyogita shift her gaze from him and staring at the ground 

“What happen Prithvi, Sanyo’s isn't any mood now to talk with anyone,” said Meghna

“I know Meghna, but I want to say something to her “

Meghna looked at him in confusion 

Sanyogita wrinkle her eyebrow but still remain silent 

It was difficult for Prithvi to contact her eyes with Sanyogita at at moment, he was highly ashamed of his action

“What happen Prithvi, what you want to tell Sanyogita, please don’t fight with her today, she is not in a mood “

“Meghna, I am not coming here to fight with Sanyogita, I just wanted to confess something to her “

Meghna became confused and so Sanyogita who looked up at him with a question mark expression on her face 

Prithvi closed his eyes once and, took a deep breath, opened his eyes and confessed truth in a go” Sanyogita I am that one for whom you got scolded  to Principal, I just wanted to give you a lesson, that day I got angry the way you mocked me when I got the punishment, every time we fight and you called me useless I don’t like this, but I feel ashamed of my actions today, please forgive me, I am sorry Sanyogita”

Sanyogita looked at him with furious eyes and burst out her frustration at him “have you know how it feels to get suspended by a teacher, how could you feel that? you have all time schooled by teachers so maybe it doesn't matter to you, do you know it was happening first time with me, how the hell I am going to sign then suspension letter to my father, I never give him a chance to get a complaint against me to him, Prithvi I am telling you last time   I KNOW YOU DIDN'T LIKE ME, FROM THE DAY I COMPLAIN AGAINST YOU TO PRINCIPAL YOU ALL TIME MAKE TROUBLE FOR ME, BUT  THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU WILL  OFFEND ME ALWAYS. BUT TODAY ONLY FOR YOU I GOT  SUSPENDED IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM ME, I DON’T  WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN“

Sanyogita started to cry and ran away from there.

Prithvi felt like someone twisted his chest, only for him, she cried today. It happened the first time when he saw her cry, during their fight she never broke down in front of him. She always had confidence in her spirit.

Prithvi did not speak with anyone that day after his talk with Sanyogita, Dharam who came to know everything from Meghna afterward called at Prithvi’s home but Prithvi locked himself in his room after returning from school even he did not change his school uniform. He sat on the bed near the window from where he continued staring at the pomelo tree of their neighbor, a squirrel trying to climb on it, he curiously looking at the lonely afternoon, warm sun rays fall on his bed. Suddenly he saw darkness everywhere, he felt someone was crying continuously,  Sanyogita words echoed in his mind, he had a feeling he couldn't move his body, something heavy sat on his chest and he had difficulty breathing. Prithvi abruptly woke up, regained his consciousness and his full body was wet in sweat, he did not remember when fell asleep while admiring that lonely afternoon he even forgot to switch on the fan. He got up and switched on the light of the room, the clock showed it was 7 in the evening. He opened the gate and took his steps towards the small living room where he opened the freezer and took out a bottle and started drinking water. Suddenly he again heard a voice, he realized their parents again fought with each other.

He knew when his mother quarreled with his father, those days she did not cook, not even talked with anyone. He heard the scream of his mother who scolds his father” Why are brother me so much, only for you my life had been hell, I have sacrificed everything for this house for our relationship I have taken care of you, your family our children, but what I get in return only your reprimand, swearing, all time I have to face your anger, tell me what is fault “She started to cry

“Oh just shut up, you bitch, what did I get in return for marrying you, your father give me nothing all he just put a burden on my neck, I have made this house my own ability, and children only Snehashis is my son, your younger son so is just good for nothing, every people in our neighbor laugh behind my back, he is a useless“

Prithvi knew when his father got drunk with his colleagues at the office, returned home, and burst out his frustration on his mother. He did not like this, he couldn't share this with anyone except Dharam who caught him when he was looking very upsets then he explained everything How his father scolded him every day. 

His elder brother’s 10th exams have remained only a few months.At night his brother came, Prithvi goes to his brother room and said “Dada,I am hungry “ 

Senhashish sensed the smell of alcohol when he returned from his tuition class. He advised Prithvi “Don’t worry chote ,I will buy something for eat “

“No, Dada, I will go you take care of Maa, and your exams are coming, don’t waste your time “

Prithvi took out his cycle and visited a nearby local shop, he bought some Roti Tadka and cooked vegetables. 

When he returned, a neighbor Aunty asked him”Babu, what happened, is everything alright “

Prithvi looked at her confusingly 

“I have heard some noises from your house,“

Prithvi did not reply to her and did not even waste a sec to listen to her buk buk , he did not know why neighbors showed much interest in others' family matters. If they could not help them to sort out problems then why should they be ready to make a recipe of gossip?

At night when his father fell asleep, both the brothers brought their mother to the living room. They made her seat on the wooden chair in front of the dining table 

“Maa, don’t cry, please don’t leave me, I promise to you I will be a good boy,I and Dada did not eat anything from the afternoon, We know you are also hungry, please eat something “Prithvi consoled his mother, he wept her mother tears

“Maa , now please eat something, if you are angry at father you can carry on but please don’t remain hungry it will make you sick” Said Snehashis [Prithvi’s brother]

Paromita [ Prithvi’s mother]gazed at her children “when you two became so grown up my dear son, “She caressed both the heads of her sons affectionately, her eyes fill with tears 

“Maa we promise you, we never let you cry more, I will work hard and then Baba never get a chance to offended you, “Said Prithvi 

They brought the plate of roti and tadka and started to feed her 

Paromita amazed by witnessing how her sons treat her “when I looked at you I realized I have blessed to have sons like you both, finally my both son has grown up, in fact my stubborn child now became matured “

“Prithvi and Snehasish promised you will never break the heart of a woman, never make them cry how much aged you have gained but never misbehaved with a girl, It’s my advice to you my son”

All three became emotional. Though she didn't much got love, respect from her husband, she was still happy to have her two sons who treat her like their queen.

That night Prithvi’s mother slept on his lap in his room. Prithvi thought about the words which his mother advice them regarding woman, never make them cry, He closed his eyes Sanyogita's crying face came in front of him, something was cooking inside his head.

Next day Prithvi confessed everything to the Principal, he got scolded, Dharam who was totally unaware of Prithvi’s decisions was also shocked after his confession to the Principal. She suspended him and called him to Sanyogita’s house. Sanyogita was also surprised by Prithvi’s action. She could not understand why Prithvi confessed to the Teacher. She was curious to ask him but thought another time maybe it would be his another plan, so simply ignored him. From that incident, neither of them fought with each other.

It was another day Arjun took some cracker bombs with him to teach a boy who disturbed Prithvi frequently. But the boy complained against them. Prithvi took the blame on his head. A teacher called for his guardian. 

Arjun asked Prithvi why he took the blame on himself, it was not his fault. Prithvi replied that he had a habit of getting scolded by everybody, it wasn't new for him.

Sanyogita heard all the conversation between Prithvi, she was shocked by his behavior after the Teacher’s Days incident.

Prithvi's father was furious at him. He slapped him in front of his teacher. When they came out from the teacher's room he scolded him worst. Prithvi saw Sanyogita who was looking at him. He shifted his gaze from her. From the day when Sanyogita got punishment for him, he never fought with her even if he had seen her on the way he either bent his head down or changed his path. He didn't want to bother her even in his unawareness.

Sanyogita stood first in Half-yearly exams among the entire section, Meghna also performed well, Prithvi managed to barely gain passing marks in all subjects, Arjun and Raghav gave their best. Dharam stood second.

It was 6;30 when he reached the hotel in North Bengal, Prithvi came out from the car and wore the blazer due to the chilly weather of Darjeeling.
