A Date to Remember
Shiva got ready wearing a nice black 3 piece suit. He was going out with Raavi on a official date for the first time, but it was a surprise for her. He told him that it was friend's party. He was waiting for her since last 45 minutes but to his surprise Raavi was still in the washroom.
"Kya kar rahi hai, Chipkali? We are getting late." He knocked at the door.
"Tu chal main aati hoon."
Why does it take women so long to get ready!
Shiva thought as he looked at his watch for the nth time waiting for Raavi but he soon got his answer when he saw magnificently beautiful Raavi coming out of the room.
“Wow" he breathed.
She was vision, climbing down the steps in a black saree her hair up and some loose tendrils loose, framing her face and giving her an effortless look.
“Kahan kho gaya, Mr. Pandya?” Raavi asked snapping her fingers.
“Haan?” Shiva came back to his senses.“Kuch nahi. Let’s leave.”
As they sat inside on the bike, it was a silent journey.
“What kind of husband is he, what do it take to just say that I am looking nice, Bhootnath kahinka!”
Shiva continuously steal some glances on Raavi from the rear view mirror while driving his bike and Raavi, unaware of his stare, kept cursing him.
“She’s going be the end of me!” Shiva thought.
“You said something?” Raavi asked.
“Did she hear?” Shiva frowned.
“Shiva, what happened?” Raavi asked again.
“I didn’t know such beautiful sarees are available in Somnath.” Shiva said.
“Just the saree is beautiful?” Raavi glared at him.
“Yes, of course.” He replied. “Why, you want to hear something else?”
Raavi didn’t answer and looked away in fury making Shiva smile.
"We're here." he said a few minutes later and Raavi got down the bike, she had absolutely no clue where they were. It was a deserted parking lot with a fence all around it and a grove of lush green trees in one corner.
"Where are we?" she asked him and got a terse reply, "It's an abandoned parking lot."
"I can see that. What are we doing here? There’s surely not any business party going on here.”
"We're here for our first date." he closely observed her face for any sign of disturbance.
Raavi looked at him stunned. First date? Her first ever date!
“Raavi?” Shiva called her.
“Why didn’t you tell me before?”
“Because it was a surprise.”
Raavi smiled, they walked inside the restaurant but to their surprise, there was a large lock hanging on the door.
Shiva frowned and dialled some number in his phone.
“What the hell is this? I had a reservation at your hotel and here it is closed!” he yelled in the phone.
“What message? I didn’t get any message!” he said and checked his phone, sighing.
“They have messaged, the reservation was cancelled because some relative of the owner died. I didn’t see it. I am sorry, Raavi.” He apologized.
“It’s okay, Shiva. Let’s go somewhere else.” Raavi smiled.
They again drove in silence.
"What happened?" Raavi asked as the bike stopped.
"I don't know." He replied. "Let me check."
They both got down the bike when suddenly it started raining and both were wet.
“Raavi, let's look for a shelter. Tu bimaar pad jayegi.” Shiva said as he looked around and saw light coming from a house at some distance. He held Raavi's hand and marched towards the house. It was unlocked but empty. Raavi was shivering and Shiva saw that.
Lightening his lighter, he looked around. It was room with lump of hay on a side, broken woods, furniture and some other useless stuffs. He made a conclusion in mind that no one would come there neither mind if they stayed there for sometime. Shiva closed the door to stop the storm coming inside. It was getting colder. He arranged the bonfire; Raavi quickly rushed near it.She was shivering. She was rubbing her hands to get rid of the cold. While running hands in hairs her eyes fall on Shiva, who was staring her intently. His intense look burnt her skin.
"So cold here. Meri saree toh puri bheeg gayi hai." She said trying to divert his mind.
"Toh utaar de." He replied instantly astonished at his own words.
Raavi's eyes widened. Shiva stood up, she moved a little backward trying to pull her saree down which is stuck with her body, to cover her bare stomach. He ran his finger through his hair while looking her and started unbuttoning his shirt. Her heartbeat started increasing. He took out his black shirt from his muscular body. He shined due to fire. She tried to look away but Shiva Pandya was too irresistible.
He took steps nearer to her, she took back steps till she reached the wall. They were so closed that they could hear each other's heartbeat. At the moment, Raavi felt like a newlywed bride, whose shyness had no limits. He moved his arms, bent down and came more close to her. She closed her eyes, surrendering her lips to him. She opened her eyes hearing a loud bang. He was still near her, but was busy in closing the wooden window which was just behind her back. After he was done, he pulled his arms back and moved to bonfire with a smirk.
Raavi realised that he was teasing him.
"This stupid is never going to change!" She muttered to herself. "But it's not that easy to play with Raavi Pandya too."
She knew well how to deal with this arrogant jerk. Shiva was smiling on the fact, he was going to spend each and every moment of life with his chipkali. He felt something hit his shoulder and looked around only to find her earing. The rain of her jewellery started falling on him.
"Kya kar rahi hai tu?" He shouted.
"Utaar rahi hoon!" Raavi replied loudly from the back of hay lump.
His mouth opened wide in shocked and got her saree on his face. His heart skipped a beat as she took the black cloth which was covering the hay. After a few seconds, Shiva saw her bare feet. His eyes slowly moved up to her bare leg. She was covering her body from chest to thigh.
She sat on a hay lying in front of him drying her hairs.
"God this rain! It has become so cold!" Raavi said rubbing her hands.
"It's hot!" Shiva spoke his thoughts aloud and cursed himself the next moment. "Ah.. I mean.. yeah. Yeah it’s... Ah..."
Raavi shook her head on him and got up moving towards the window. The rain drops just added fuel to fire, which was rapidly growing in his heart. Shiva by mistake burnt his finger as he was near the fire. She ran to him and blew air to it in concern. As she continued to do so, she realised his intense gaze on her. She was about to get up but he pulled her, kissing on the back of her ear. Raavi push him and ran to tease him. Shiva marched behind her. Eventually,he caught her and push on a lump of hay. He started kissing her all over the body. He then moved to her bare shoulder then to the chin. She closed her eyes to feel him. He traced her leg by his foot.
Suddenly he heard from her, "Shiva".
He looked at her. "Meri Saree sukh gayi hogi" she said with a mischievous smile.
Shiva smiled and stood up. As she marched towards her clothes, he looked down at the ground, smiling.
Their first date may have failed but this was one of the most memorable evening for both of them.
