Chapter 9: Love
I'm not sure what do they call love. I'm not sure what do they mean by the infamous phrase "I can't live without you" either, because at the end of day, everyone moves on. It takes time, but everyone does. Love might be the cause I felt utterly helpless until now, but I have moved on. From. You. Oh, yes. I did. Getting married to someone else doesn't just mean you've moved on from your love, right? It means your past no longer haunts you and you can smile without restrains. Nothing holds you back. You feel free. Just like I do right now. But I'm not getting married; I tried to, but I can't marry anyone other than you. You've been the only woman I ever loved and married. But I can't be a burden on anyone anymore. I can't see that hatred in your eyes anymore. I need to leave. And I'm leaving, Ishaani. I love you.
She had received the letter a few moments ago before her marriage with Shikhar.
"This is from Ranveer," a man she did not recognize told her.
As Ishani finished the letter, her eyes returned to the smudged words on the paper stained with dry tears.
His tears.
Your reaction
