She wore her blue jeans and white shirt in a hurry. Holding her bag in her left hand and an apple in the right, she wore her sandals and started her scooty.
As soon as she reached the college, she sighed in relief. She was on time. There was still few minutes left for him to arrive.
She marched towards her class. As soon as she entered, she saw her seat filled with lots of roses. Few pink, few yellow and a red rose.
Who dared to give her a red rose?
That's when she realised - it was rose day today.
Suddenly, her heart started beating faster. She turned her head towards the door and saw him walking inside. He looked more handsome to her each passing day. But to her dismay, she didn't know of he ever noticed her.
"OMG!" Her best friend Payal's voice brought her to the present. "You have a lot of crazy fans!"
The whole college was crazy for her, but she was crazy for him - her Arnav.
Arnav Singh Raizada was a year senior to her and her first ever crush. It was just impossible for her to live without having a glimpse of him everyday.
As Arnav tried to concentrate on the lectures, he felt a gaze on him. He turned and found a beautiful face smiling at him. She was sitting in the adjacent bench. The wind from the window was hitting her face and making her hair flow, it made her look more beautiful. She kept her left hand on her chin and sighed at him.
She put her pen in between her lips and blinked at him twice.
"Miss Gupta!"
The professor's voice filled the classroom.
Khushi Kumari Gupta got back to the present. She turned towards the professor and apologized for not being attentive. She cursed under her breath.
Arnav must be thinking that she is not a serious student.
When class was over, Khushi started packing her stuffs when she saw a paper lying on Arnav's desk. A part of her wanted see what it was but she didn't know if he would like it. But what if it was important?
I have been liking you since the first time I saw you. I am afraid of your reaction so I put the red rose on your desk and leaving this letter here. Happy rose day.
Arnav.
Khushi's heart skipped a beat after reading it. Was this letter for her? Did Arnav really put that red rose on her desk?
Questions bombarded in her head but she decided not to give high hopes to herself. She was happy with only the thought that Arnav could have given her this rose. With a smile on her face, she ignored all the other roses on her desk and put the red rose along with the letter inside her bag and left for home.

8th Feb
As soon as Khushi entered the classroom next day, her jaws dropped. There he was, Arnav Singh Raizada - sitting on his knees in front of her.
She was sure she wasn't late today, then how come he is here before her?
"I don't know what you feel about me, but I want to hold your hand and see the world, I want you to be the reason of my existence and I want to be the reason of your smile. Happy propose day."
To say that Khushi was shocked would be an understatement. Her heart started dancing but the shock overpowered her happiness to reach her face.
Before she could say anything, she heard everyone else in the class hooting and clapping.
"OMG, Khushi!" Payal chirped as she rushed towards her. "We were playing truth and dare, and it was Arnav's turn to wish propose day to the next girl who enters the room and it was you."
A dare?
Khushi's heart that was filled with happiness few minutes ago, ached in pain. For a moment, she actually thought that Arnav was indeed proposing her. She looked at Arnav, their eyes met and Khushi tried to read the emotions in his eyes.
What was that?
Fear? Guilt? Apology?
Before she reach to a conclusion, they saw the professor entering and all of them settled in their seats.
Khushi smiled. She got to see Arnav sitting on knees and proposing her. She was happy even though it was just a dare.

"Sorry ma'am, we ran out of chocolate pastries." The waiter said and Khushi's face fell.
She loved to have something sweet after lunch but the only sweet dish that her college canteen served good was chocolate pastry.
"Would you like to have anything else ma'am?" The waiter asked.
"No thanks." Khushi replied and marched towards her classroom along with Payal.
The class started and Khushi's eyes wandered around the classroom in search of Arnav. To her surprise, he was not present.
She started getting bored, the class was not interesting without him. Suddenly, she found him entering the class with a big box in his hand and their classmate Akash trailing behind.
"What is this, Arnav?" The professor asked with a smile.
"My sister gave birth to a baby in London few hours back, so I wanted to share my happiness with my friends. May I distribute these please, professor?" Arnav asked.
"Sure."
Arnav started distributing and Khushi blessed the new born in her heart. When he reached her desk, she was surprised to see a bunch of chocolates.
She looked at him and he looked back at her.
"Congratulations." Khushi said as she took the pack.
"Thanks." Arnav smiled and continued his work.
"Happy Chocolate Day." Khushi read on the chocolate day special edition packet of chocolates in her hand.

10th Feb
The door bell disturbed Khushi's sleep. Wearing her slippers and rubbing her eyes, she opened the door yawning.
To her surprise, there was a small boy standing with a smile on his face.
"Khushi?" He asked.
"Yes," Khushi replied bowing to his height. "And you are?"
The boy didn't reply, gave her a teddy bear keychain and ran away.
Khushi didn't understand what just happened and keeping the keychain on her study table, she went to get ready for college.
Rest of the day went normal with Khushi looking at Arnav whole day and he, not noticing her as usual.
When the classes were over, Khushi found a medium size teddy bear kept on her scooty. At first, she decided to throw it away, but then decided to keep it with her for few days and then give it to some kid to play with. After all, teddies were her weakness since childhood.
"Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta?" The delivery man asked when Khushi opened the door in the evening.
"Please sign here ma'am."
After she signed, he brought inside a big teddy bear, even bigger than her.
"Thank you." Khushi said awkwardly and closed the door.
She looked at the teddy, it had a note attached to it.
For you to curdle with, till you give me that right.
Happy Teddy Day.
An involuntary smile crept on her lips. She was impressed with her secret admirer who was sending her teddies since morning. She wished, she could get one from Arnav too.

"Where is your assignment, Arnav?" The professor asked and Khushi looked at Arnav in concern.
He was an obedient student. He never left any of his work incomplete. It was the first time he was facing this.
"I am sorry, sir. My parents had to leave for London and I couldn't manage time to complete it." He said.
"It's okay, but I want it by tomorrow."
Khushi cursed the professor under her breath. She disliked him instantly for shouting at Arnav. She was lamenting in her thoughts when she felt someone standing near her desk.
Arnav.
"Hey, will you help me with the assignment?" He asked and Khushi was surprised.
All her vocabularies betrayed her and her throat almost chocked.
"Khushi?"
He knows her name!
"Professor Bakshi said I can ask you for help."
Oh!
"If you help me this time, I promise to help you revise in the next semester. I promise!" Arnav said and Khushi chuckled.
"Relax. I'll help you." Khushi said with a smile.
"Thank you so much! Can we meet tomorrow before class then?" Arnav asked.
"Sure." Khushi replied.
"See you then." Arnav said and went back to his desk.
"This is hilarious." Payal who was sitting beside Khushi, giggled.
"Why?" Khushi asked confused.
"No girl would have got such a promise from a boy in Promise Day."

"Now keep these with you, and get a print out of these pictures." Khushi instructed Arnav as she checked the assignment once again.
"Do I need to all write these?" Arnav asked as he noted down the points marked by Khushi.
"Yes." Khushi said. "You are never going to complete if you keep writing at this speed."
Arnav stopped writing and looked at her.
"Okay fine. Keep writing, I'll print these out." Khushi said and marched towards the library.
When she went back in the classroom, he was done writing. She took his written work and joined the sheets using a stepler along with the printouts.
"Done!" Khushi smiled in victory.
"Really?" Arnav asked his in excitement.
"Now you can submit." She handed the assignment to her.
"Thank you so much, Khushi."
Arnav said and pulled her into a hug. Khushi went speechless. Her hands moved to hold him, but they came back in hesitation. But she felt the moment magical. She wanted the time to stop there. She wanted the moment to never end.
Suddenly, the bell rang and Arnav broke the hug.
"Thank you." He said again and went to submit his assignment.
Soon all their classmates started coming one by one. Payal entered inside and hugged Khushi.
"Why are you hugging me suddenly?" Khushi asked smiling. "You don't do that everyday."
"Because it's Hug day, stupid." Payal said.
Khushi's eyes involuntarily went towards the door and Arnav walked in. As soon as their eyes met, both of them smiled.

"What's going on?" Khushi asked as she saw Payal trying to search something with her eyes blindfolded.
"Caught you!" Payal screamed as soon as she hold Khushi and removed the cloth from her eyes.
"Come on, Khushi. It's your turn now. Close your eyes and try to catch someone. We are playing hide and seek."
Who plays hide and seek in college?
Before Khushi could realise, her eyes we're blindfolded. Her eyes were closed and she was trying to catch her classmates.
"What happened to these lights?" She suddenly hear someone.
"I am sorry if you don't like it." Khushi heard a whisper near her ears. "But I really want to do this."
This voice!
And he kissed her softly on her cheek. Khushi's heart started racing faster and her feet got stiffed.
"Happy Kiss Day."
Did Arnav just kiss her?
She removed the cloth from her eyes and looked around. The room was dark because there was power-cut. As soon as the lights came, she saw Arnav standing in a corner. He was playing with his mobile, acting like nothing happened. But Khushi was sure, it was Arnav who kissed her.

14th Feb
"Will you meet me at the Blue Lagoon in the evening?" Khushi stopped writing hearing Arnav who whispered sitting behind her. Luckily, Payal didn't come to college today.
"Please, Khushi?" Arnav pled.
Khushi shyly nodded. It was the first time a boy had asked her out, and not some random boy - it was Arnav.
Khushi stopped in her tracks as soon as she entered the restaurant. It was decorated with red roses and balloons, with a dining table placed in the middle. She noticed Arnav standing, wearing a tuxedo. She blushed at the look he gave her, just like she was most precious, most beautiful girl in the world. She pushed the lock of her hair behind her ear nervously.
"So pretty!" Arnav exclaimed and Khushi felt the growing warmth not just in her heart, her every core but also in her cheeks too, which have turned into darkest shade of red by now.
She looked down nervously, never in her life she felt this way. She dreamt of being with Arnav but never in her wildest dreams had she thought he would complement her like this.
"This... " Khushi didn't know what to say.
"Khushi, I have waited a lot to say this to you, I can't wait anymore. I need to confess a lot to you. I have been in love with you since the first time I saw you. You are different, beautifully different. I wanted to celebrate this Valentine week with you but I didn't know how to ask you. Please listen to me patiently." Arnav said with a sense of nervousness in his voice and Khushi nodded, asking him to continue.
"I put a red rose on your desk on rose day and left a note behind with a hope that you would understand and accept it. Then on the propose day, I didn't know how to propose you for being in my life, so I came up with the idea of truth and dare. I knew when will you enter, Akash and NK chose the propose dare for me. It was all planned, Khushi. I was afraid of your reaction, I was waiting for a reaction from you, but you didn't say anything. On chocolate day, I saw you looking for chocolate pastry in the canteen. I wanted to gift you chocolates, but couldn't decide how. Just then my mother informed me that my sister has become a mother. I got an opportunity, so I decided to distribute chocolates in the whole class so that I can give them to you with my own hands. It was me who sent you a teddy key chain on teddy day. I was afraid you would throw it away, so I put a teddy on your scooty. But I was afraid again if you would just give it away to someone, so I sent a bigger one to your house. I hugged you after you helped me with my assignment, it was not intentional, but I am happy it happened. I loved the feeling of you in my arms. And yesterday, I offered the class to play hide and seek. And you know, no one says no to Arnav Singh Raizada. I deliberately asked NK to cut the power of the college when you were blindfolded. I wanted to wish you a happy kiss day. Trust me, Khushi I wanted to wish you every day by myself, but couldn't. I didn't had a courage. I always knew you too somewhere feel for me the way you looked at me during lectures, but I didn't want to rush things. I didn't want us to be just like any normal couple, and you also don't like to be in limelight. If anyone knew about us, you would have been the centre of attraction. So I did all this secretly. And the funniest part, on promise day, before I could decide what to promise you, my tongue slipped and I promised to help you with studies just because you don't refuse to help me." Arnav said with a smile and Khushi chuckled.
"You have always been the only girl I have ever loved Khushi. Be mine." Arnav said holding her hand and happy tears rolled down Khushi's cheeks.
"Arnav.. " Khushi started and Arnav's smile reached his eyes.
"I was dying to hear this." He said.
"What?"
"My name from your mouth." Khushi blushed as soon as Arnav said this.
"Will you be my valentine, Khushi?" Arnav asked. "Forever?"
"I have always liked you, Arnav. Yes, yes, yes!" Khushi screamed in happiness.
Arnav didn't wait for a moment and locked his hard lips with her soft ones. He always wanted to do this and it felt hundred times better than how he had dreamt about it.
Before Khushi could even cherish the moment, she heard the three most beautiful words she'd read in books, seen in movies.
"I Love you."
But when spoken by this handsome, they gave a whole new meaning to it.
"I love you too." She confessed.
They pull each other into a tight embrace, promising each other a beautiful life ahead.
