Shot 3 : Being a Good Brother

Sanskar couldn't sleep after all he just ended his sister engagement, isolated himself further from his family and broke everyone happiness . Deep down he knew his sister wouldn't have been happy married to Chiraj yet he knew his sister was hurt today .
 
       
He had failed as a brother when he lost control of his anger and tried to harm Laksh , and he failed yet again today . A brief knock got him out of his bed as he made himself open the door to see his sister standing there with a glass of milk . He didn't deserve her kindness or her support but he got it nevertheless . 

        
" Have you eaten anything ? " his sister asked as she made her way into his room . And he only shook his head in answer unwilling to speak up as he was unable to voice out how sorry he was to cause her pain by his actions . 

         
" Drink the Milk atleast and bhai I am not a kid anymore that you have to protect me from every hurt , I admit it hurts bhai . But not as much as it would hurt to lose the one you love . I won't ask you to make such a sacrifice for my sake ,you love Swara bhabhi and she loves you too .

        
I know right now ,you have tons of issues that prevent you from being together but if I deprived  you a chance to make it right then I won't be able to forgive myself .  I didn't love Chiraj bhai . So give me sometime I will be able to move on . Also bhai trust me when I say you are the best brother any sister could get and never doubt yourself about it  " Uttara spoke up as she sat beside him .

         
" When did you grow up so much that you are comforting me instead " Sanskar asked his sister ,baffled by her actions . 
         
" Do you remember when you left the house and everyone assumed you were dead ,  I truly mourned you thinking you were dead bhai and for the first time everything around me seemed scary without you by my side , I always need you bhai by my side. When I am hurt ,when I am sad , when I am happy  ,when I finally find a guy like you and marry him .
     
And I  don't want to go through the pain of losing you again  , so please stop drinking for me " his sister spoke up and that when he noticed her eyes were fixated on the array of bottles cast aside in his room .  
      
" I promise " he answered back in a heart beat at this moment he would have agreed to anything she asked and yet her fear weren't unfound ,he was losing himself by getting drunk . If his sister can be brave enough to accept her pain without glass of wine then he can do so as well for her .

         
Then his phone vibrated with a call ,his sister got up to leave but he gestured her to stay behind . He had so much to say ,and apologize as well . But the call changed everything that was on his mind .

       
" Well how about joining your brother for a ride " Sanskar asked his sister has he ended the call .
   
" It is midnight bhai ?"his sister answered back clearly confused about his sudden demand .
      
" I know but don't you want to see your other bhai " he answered back, the first time a news came about a alive person who matches Laksh description . Also in Coma so he wasn't sure it was Laksh ,but he wanted to keep Uttara mind away from today events .
    
" Did you find him?  " She asked spring up from the bed in happiness
   
" Yeah I think so ,we have to identity if it is him first " Sanskar answered back and saw her face fell at his words .

    
" You go alone bhai ,I am not lucky and if I come that person may turn out to be not Laksh bhai . Sometimes I think I am the unluckiest person in the world " his sister answer shocked him but he understood after his mother words later that day that continued to mourn the broken engagement as the end of the world .
    
" Well I failed countless times already Uttara ,why don't we try this out together this one time because I was beginning to think I was the unluckiest one.  Come with me ,maybe your earnest wish to get lucky back will work in our favor ,please sis " Sanskar asked his sister , he didn't know why he insisted but he wasn't going to leave her alone after she thought herself as unlucky .

        
"Let go then " his sister answered back as she held his hand ,he noticed how cold her hands was as if she was shaking up with worry but she braved a smile for him.
         
Sanskar hoped Laksh was found this time ,because he desperately want his sister to find a reason to be happy . And he hoped against hope that his sister won't be left heart broken again tonight  . Maybe his prayers were answered or maybe Uttara was really lucky that not only did they walk inside the hospital to find Laksh but he was no longer in coma . 
       
The air was intense between the cousins on the first meet as the last time they saw each other ,Sanskar had been close to harming his cousin and Laksh had been flinging insults at his mom . But Uttara was indeed the lucky charm of their family .
    
As she simply ran upto Laksh and hugged him in relief , she talked and talked a out how much she missed him that it brought a smile on to Laksh face to see the clear affection in Uttara words . Sanskar and Laksh knew that there is lot to talk between them ,both of them need to apologize for their behaviors but right now to see their sister so Happy made them temporarily forget their conflicting emotion and feel happy .
