"Prerna stop!" He ran parallel to the fast-moving train.
Her hair waved behind her forming wispy clouds in the air. Her face had paled in color and she was gasping hard.
Dressed in a ruffled white shirt whose upper buttons were open, and in a pair of black trousers, he continued to follow her. He constantly screamed out her name out of concern for her. She had a huge baby bump that resembled two big footballs stuffed underneath her dress. It's largely the reason why she was slower than him when it came to running.
He finally caught her by the arm. When she was about to fall on her back, he immediately gripped her tight from the waist. Bent backward, Prerna huffed hard. Cupping her in his arms from her back and legs, he laid her down over a seat at the railway station.
She was gasping hard when he bent down to check her health. He was growing far too worried about her and the baby. "Are you feeling okay?"
She immediately shrugged off his hand and was about to leave the seat when he tightened his grip over her. "Prerna," He spoke her name in a whisper.
"Don't you dare?" She pointed her finger at him and continued. "I have understood your lies for what? Your love for what? You are a cheat." She felt ashamed being so close to him.
He had tears in his eyes. "No, I'm not. Try and understand love."
She immediately left the seat and declared, "Don't call me that. You have cheated me, Rishab Bajaj." She cried, and almost keeled to the floor.
He stepped back. "You knew the whole truth from Day 1 Prerna Sharma. Now you're blaming me?" He asked with disgust. Clenching his jaw, he continued, "It's not me who cheated you. Rather, it's you who's cheating me right now." Prerna cried loudly due to her labor pains. Rishabh however, carried on. "What do you want now? Stop this drama, you bloody bar dancer."
When she kept wincing, Rishabh realized that she wasn't acting. He was about to take her to the hospital when she stepped back.
"No, you moron. Now you will pay me for this. Then you'll marry me." She declared. Laughing, she asked, "Can you marry this bloody bar dancer?"
The train passed loudly in the silence that existed between them.
