Chapter 59
"What did he mean by not giving the chance? When did he even ask for the chance?" Roli was beyond perplexed.
Stopping the car at roadside, she turned to him to know what he meant. Meanwhile, Sid continued to blabber, semi-consciously.
"Do you know... what all I've planned... for our future? I have built an... entire world with.. you.. But, you broke my heart.. Roli" Sid could barely figure out Roli's shocked look, through his half closed eyes.
"W-what did you say?" Roli's voice stammered as her mind dozed off with shock.
Struggling to open his eyes, Sid looked at Roli as his lips slightly curled up and said "don't be scared. Even if you broke.. my heart, I will still.. Love you.. Forever and ever".
Those words made Roli's heart warm and eyes sparkle. She would have been crying out of happiness, had her mind not filled with an array of questions.
"Then why did you prepare that surprise for Ritika?" Roli couldn't hold back as she asked out.
"All of my surprises.. have always been only.. for you, Roli" Sid mumbled, closing his eyes.
"Then what was Ritika doing there?" Roli asked, anxiously. She waited for him to respond but, he was fallen asleep by then.
Inhaling a deep breath before letting it out, Roli closed her eyes as still she couldn't get answers for her questions. And her doubts got even more complicated by Sid's words now.
Turning to Sid's side, Roli found him sleeping like an innocent baby. Her tensed eyes slowly got relieved at his sight. She moved near him to buckle his seatbelt up. Just when she was about to return to her seat, her eyes casually caught up on his chest revealed through top buttons of his shirt which left opened.
Roli's eyes got wide opened as she spotted a tattoo on his chest, near his heart. Her hand slowly reached it, involuntarily and caressed the tattoo of her name, Roli, on his chest.
A lone tear escaped her eyes as she looked at the tattoo and then his face.
** I will still love you forever and ever **
Sid's words reverberated in her ears. There were many questions in her mind which are yet to be answered. For now, however, she wanted to deal with his broken state due to losing the contract. Deciding upon what should be done, she drove away.

Next day early morning, Sid lazily opened his eyes when he heard some disturbing sounds.
"Will you please wake up now?" He heard Roli's voice, which sounded more like ordering. He blinked his eyelids for a couple of times before getting a clear vision.
"What are you doing in my room in this early morning?" Sid questioned, closing his eyes back again.
"This is not your room actually" crossing her arms across her chest, Roli informed.
Upon hearing her, Sid opened his eyes and examined the surroundings to realise he wasn't in his room. He wasn't even in his house. He was in Roli's house's guest room.
"What am I doing here?" Sid instantly sat up on bed, holding his head as he felt slight pain.
"Leave that and get ready soon" Roli said, placing a shopping bag on bed.
"Why?" Sid stared at her.
"You will get to know soon. Now don't waste time and get fresh up" Roli almost ordered and turned to leave.
Sid, with a puzzled look on his face, watched her leaving. He then got ready in the dress that Roli had given him and went downstairs to see Roli and Jamanlal in the hall.
"Good morning, Siddhant" Jamanlal wished while Sid just gave a nod with an embarrassed smile. He didn't know how he ended up in Roli's house. All he could recall was him shouting at his employees and going to bar to serve himself few drinks to overcome his anger.
"Come let's have breakfast first" saying so, Jamanlal got up and walked near dining hall.
Sid went near Roli and whispered to her "why did you give me this suit now?".
" Because you have got a meeting to attend today " Roli whispered back and walked away. While Sid was confused. As far as he knew he had no meetings today and he had lost the details of the one he had. Then which meeting he got now? He wondered to himself.
After having breakfast, Jamanlal left to his work. While Sid had to follow Roli, not knowing what's happening. When they have reached the car, Sid couldn't help asking "where are we going?".
"Meeting. I have told, right?" Roli replied while opening the door of driver's seat.
"I don't know what kind of meeting it is" Sid sighed helplessly. "Whatever. Let me drive".
"Wait" Roli stopped him. "I'm offering to be your driver for today. It's a one time chance. Don't miss it Mr. Siddhant" she repeated his dialogue making him amazed.
"Is it so? Then fine. I won't mind if you be my driver for my whole life" Sid replied coolly.
"Are you not being greedy?" Roli stared at him, incredulously.
"Are we not getting late for the meeting?" Sid questioned which made Roli let out a deep sigh and hop on to the driver's seat. With a chuckle, Sid too got in and Roli started the ride.
While on the way, Sid couldn't hold the suspense and asked "would you mind telling exactly where we are going now?".
"To attend the meeting with Mehta Enterprises" Roli answered while Sid was taken aback for a moment.
"No use of going there. I lost everything" Sid's voice was low as he said. Roli could understand what's in his mind.
"Not yet. You still have the chance to give your presentation" Roli encouraged.
"How?" Sid turned to look at her. Suddenly, he felt a ray of hope, hearing her confident words.
"This" Roli took out a pen drive and handed it to him. "Connect it to the laptop and check if it has all that needs for the presentation" she said, pointing at the laptop in backseat.
"How come the details be in this pen drive. All the details were deleted from all the systems of our company" Sid was still a bit sceptical.
"Details can be deleted from an artificial machine but not from a human brain" Roli answered as a matter of fact.
"What do you mean?" Sid grew curious as he tried to know what she meant.
"What if the details were deleted from systems, the people who have entered and maintained those systems might remember it, right? If not completely but at least to some extent" Roli raised her eyebrows at him.
Roli continued "I've called all the employees who have worked on this project and tried to collect maximum details which they could recall and made PPT of it". She stopped when she reached their destination.
"We have reached. Once check the details soon" Roli urged while Sid looked pensive.
"But, I don't think it'll work. The PPT that was stolen from my company is the best with maximum inputs. Whoever has stolen it, would be at benefit. I don't want to go there and defeat myself" Sid was reluctant due to his egoistic nature.
"First tell me one thing, did you prepare well for the presentation before the PPT was stolen?" Roli asked. For which Sid nodded in positive. He had prepared everything for the presentation and that's what triggered his temper when the details were sold out.
"Then why are you still worrying? They have stolen it. They didn't prepare it on their own. But, you have prepared everything. No matter how best the PPT is, if the person presenting what's in the PPT isn't good enough then what's the use? And in this sense, don't you think you are at benefit?" Roli tried to explain while Sid finally happened to realise her point.
"Now stop wasting time and check the PPT before entering the conference hall" Roli reminded him yet again.
Sid didn't hurry. Instead, he smiled and said "you've made it right. I'm sure it would be perfect. No need to check. I trust you, Roli".
"But.." Roli's words went unspoken as Sid interrupted.
"I will be back soon" Sid got down from the car and walked in to the conference hall, confidently.
~*~
Inside the conference hall, as soon as Sid entered, he was surrounded by a group of people. They wished him and started conversing about business related topics.
Meanwhile, a guy at a corner was shocked upon seeing Sid as though he wasn't expecting him to be present there.
"Boss, why is Mr. Siddhant Bharadwaj is here. We have made sure he couldn't attend the meeting, right?" His secretary queried in a hardly audible voice.
"How would I know that?" Dhruv Obrai, one of the businessman competing for the Mehta's contract, groaned.
Soon the presentations were began and everybody tried their best in presenting their respective ideas in a more effective way. When it was Dhruv's turn, he looked little nervous while reaching the podium. He glanced over Sid as he took over the speaker's spot. While Sid casually waited for him to start the presentation. However, as soon as the PPT appeared on the screen, Sid's eyes grew wide in shock as it was prepared by him and his team.
Composing himself, Sid coldly stared at Dhruv, who tried to ignore looking in his direction. Under Sid's presence, Dhruv couldn't give the presentation well and stumbled upon his words then and there whilst sweating all over his face.
Next was Sid's turn and he began the presentation ever so confidently.
Though the matter in the PPT was minimal due to the lack of documents, Sid has given his best in making the presentation effective altogether.
With that, Sid had bagged the contract of Mehta Enterprises, along with endless appraisals from Mr. Mehta and the rest of the people.
Sid went near Dhruv, who was sulking over his loss. "Well tried, Mr. Dhruv" he said, making the latter feel flabbergasted.
"But, it would have been even more good if the efforts are of your own" Sid smirked while Dhruv glared at him.
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna sell out your dirty deeds. I'm in a really great mood today and I don't want to spoil it over unnecessary and unworthy people. Hope you too have a good day" Sid said with a victorious smile and walked away, leaving Dhruv infuriating behind him.
Coming out of the conference hall, Sid rushed to Roli, who was in the waiting hall and pulled her in to a tight hug.
"Thank you so much, Roli" Sid thanked, hugging her. While Roli was surprised at his sudden hug.
Breaking the hug and cupping her face in between his palms, Sid informed excitedly "I got it".
Roli felt so relieved seeing his happy face. She smiled at him "I knew you would get it. Congratulations".
Sid was pleasantly surprised when he saw her smiling at him, instead of the strict facade she used to show him. There was something in her eyes which he couldn't figure out exactly. But, he felt like he got his Roli back!
When they both were lost in each other, a pair of eyes fumed in anger as they witnessed the scene.
"Didn't you say they got separated and will never be together again?" Dhruv reached the person and questioned.
"Seems like I have to start my work again" the person turned to look at Dhruv with an evil smirk.
"Trusting upon you I've paid lakhs of rupees to buy the details from Sid's company. But, what happened now? Sid has got the contract anyway and I've become a looser again" Dhruv said amongst gritting his teeth.
"Snatching the contract from Sid will only give a temporary happiness. Help me in snatching away that girl from him, you'll get a permanent happiness seeing Sid suffering for a lifetime" the person said, pointing at Roli.
"You are so focused on making Sid's life miserable" Dhruv stated, looking at the person beside him.
"If I can't have the happiness then he shouldn't have it too" the person was determined.
"After facing defeat so many times by Sid, even I don't want him to be happy anymore. Then let's work for it" Dhruv and the person glanced at RoSid and then at each other as though they knew what they were going to do next.
