Chapter 5

Mausiji went inside the kitchen & joyfully sings, "Khana Taiyaar Hain." Suddenly the phone rings. She picks up the phone. Samir and Sanjana sneak into the room and play the song. "Gumnaam Hain Koi. Badnaam Hain Koi." 

The room gets dark.

Mausiji y gets scared and tries to figure out who is playing pranks.

Suddenly she sees the TV on with the same song. However, when she went near, the TV got switched off. 

Mausiji gets puzzled.

Samir and Sanjana play another song, "Yahoo.."

The servant gets scared. She screams.

She goes to the room before the balcony and hears the voice, "Plate and stomach are empty. The servant is standing nearby. Take her and cut her to pieces. The lady came there and inquired, "Who are you?"

Samir: What do you call a live person?

Servant: Human

Samir: What do you call a person who left the world?

Servant: Deadman

Samir: And what do you tell a person who is alive even after he dies?

Servant: A ghost.

Samir: Exactly.

Sanjana: Do you get scared of ghosts?

Mausiji: Yes, where do you live?

Samir: Two years back, our parents had disowned us. The world rejected us. We left the world & live in that ceiling fan.

The phone rings

Samir: We are ghosts. So the call is obviously for you.

Mausiji picks the call.

Samir & Sanjana came there.

Samir: Yes, mom

Roli: Come home. There's a surprise for you.

Samir: Yes, we will come.

Roli & Samir disconnect the phone.

Mausiji: I knew that it was you.

Sanjana: Then, why did you get afraid?

Mausiji: I was not afraid. I was pretending. Samir is Sanjana, your girlfriend?

Samir: She is my neighbor & my best friend.

Samir & Sanjana went home. 

They met their school friends, Piyush & Roshni.

Samir hugs Piyush

Sanjana hugs Roshni

Samir + Sanjana: If you guys had told me about your arrival, I would have received you at the airport.

Piyush + Roshni: I wanted to surprise you.

Samir + Sanjana: What are the other surprises?

Roshni + Piyush: We will be joining your college. 

Samir + Sanjana: Wow

Piyush to Samir: I am in love.

Roshni to Sanjana: I am in love

Samir: Who is the girl?

Piyush: Roshni is close to my heart. I love her.

Sanjana: Do you love Piyush?

Roshni: I love Piyush.

The next moment, Piyush & Roshni changes the topic.

Roshni to Sanjana: I thought Samir became your boyfriend.

Samir to Piyush: Sanjana is a girl & my friend. So you can assume that she is my girlfriend.

Conversations end.

Everyone gets ready for college.

Piyush & Roshni meet.

Piyush: Do you think Samir & Sanjana are in love?

Roshni: I think yes. But they have not realized.

In the college

Tara meets Samir.

She gives him a pen.

Samir: The pen is lovely. Is it imported?

Tara: Yes, I have brought it from abroad.

Samir: But on what occasion did you give me the pen?

Tara: I gave it to you as a friend.

Samir smiles: In that case, I should ask for the gift every day.

In the classroom, Tara looks at Samir. 

She gets shocked by Sanjana using the pen that she gave Samir.

At the break

Sanjana puts the new refill on the pen.

Tara meets Samir.

Tara: I was shocked that you didn't use the pen that I gave you.

Samir: I had opened it, but Sanjana saw it & snatched the pen. I am sorry.

Tara: It's fine. I will get a better pen for you.

Samir: How sweet!

On the way to the classroom, Sanjana meets Tara.

Sanjana: I am sorry for hurting you. I thought that Samir purchased a new pen. So I took it. Samir & I have a habit of giving things to each other. If you are giving the gift to Samir, he will give it to me. Whatever I get, I give it to Samir. When both of us get a new gift, we exchange them.  So if you give me that gift, I will give it to Samir. 

Roli & Simar take tea for Sid & Prem.

Prem & Sid: Sit down. I want to talk to you about something important.

Sid: I have been thinking for a long time to get Samir married to Sanjana. But I don't know what he thinks about her as a life-partner?

Roli: Our Samir is incomplete without Sanjana. Both are inseparable friends and have stood for each other. They also give their gifts to each other. It is something more than friendship, but Samir has to realize that.

Prem and Simar have the same conversation as Roli and Sid.

Meanwhile, Rudra starts thinking about Sanjana. Atharva meets Rudra.

Atharva: I guess you have started liking Sanjana.

Rudra smiles: I like her but only as a friend. I love someone else, and no one can take her place.

Atharva: I know you very well. If Soumya had to come to you, she would have contacted you. Sanju is a nice girl. I think you should move on with her.

Rudra: I guess you love Tara.

Atharva smiles.

Both go to the cinema hall to buy the ticket.

Samir and Sanjana go to the cinema house to purchase the tickets, but they fail to get.

Sanjana: If we were earlier, we would have got the tickets.

Samir: I will try to get it in black. You wait.

Samir goes to get it in black.

Rudra and Atharva meet Sanjana.

Rudra: Are you looking for the tickets?

Sanjana: Yes, but Samir will get it from black.

Rudra: Actually, I watched the movie and didn't need the ticket. So, you take it. 

Sanjana takes the ticket with a smile.

Samir comes.

He gets shocked to see the ticket in Sanjana's hand.

Samir: From where did you get the ticket?

Sanjana: Rudra gave it.

Samir: Thanks, Rudy, but there's only one ticket.

Piyush and Roshni come to the theatre.

Piyush gives his ticket to Rudra.

Roshni gives her ticket to Sanjana so both Samir and Sanjana can have a good time.

Samir, Sanjana, and Rudra watch the movie and attend college after the break.
