Part 9

The next day, Prem Kumar calls up Prem Bharadwaj. 

PK: What is the progress?

Prem Bharadwaj: I have reached the place. The deal has got finalized.

PK: Congratulations! Take the next flight and come immediately.

Prem Bharadwaj: Sure.

PK comes home.

He meets his mother, Vaishali, who welcomes him with open arms.

Vaishali: There is an excellent marriage proposal from the Dvivedi family.

PK: Mom, you know that I love Gitanjali. 

Vaishali: I know that, but you have not been in touch with her for long. She might have moved on. I also want you to move on.

PK: What if Simar loves someone else?

Vaishali: You meet her once & speak to her.

PK: Fine.

The next day, PK went to Dvivedi's house.

He meets Simar.

Meena: Go with PK & show him your college campus.

Simar gets inside PK's car.

PK wonders, "Simar is so pretty that any guy would love to have her. How come she doesn't have a boyfriend."

Both go trekking.

PK walks fast. Simar is unable to match his speed.

Simar: Wait, I am coming.

PK slows down. Simar catches up with him.

Simar: The guys would like to walk with me, but you are different. You are very nice.

Both reach the destination.

Simar gives him workout tips. 

Both of them do exercise.

PK remembers his moments with Geetanjali while having a friendly dating with Simar.

Both get into the car and roam the entire city. Simar shows the scenery, lush greens, and others to PK.

PK sees Simar playing with her dog and Prem's best friend. He enjoys the site.  Later PK and Simar went to snowfalls.

PK imagines himself with Geetanjali and daydreams. Simar indicates him to get into the car to see other places. Both of them jog in the sea. PK and simar then get inside the boat. He gets amazed to see Simar driving the boat.

PK and Simar get into the helicopter. Simar blindfolds herself with tied legs and lands down. PK remembers his Geetanjali performing the same feats. Simar dives into the water, while PK goes by yatch. Simar then gets into the boat. She dries up her hair and drives the boat. PK still hopes to get Geetanjali back in his life. Simar rides the horse while PK drives. 

Later, PK meets her friends in the college. He treats all of them with ice cream.

Simar and PK decide to make a move.

PK: How come no one has loved you till today?

Simar: I could not reveal that to you earlier as we were engrossed with the trip. To be honest, I am in love with someone else. But I have accompanied you only on my mother's insistence.

PK: What is his name?

Simar: His name is also Prem. He is Prem Bharadwaj. 

PK: He's a nice guy.

Simar: You are so good. How come no girl has liked you?

PK: I had a girlfriend. It's a long story.

Simar: Well, you can share with me about your life as a friend.

PK: We were studying in the same college. She was rich, but I belonged to a middle-class family. When I brought the proposal at Geetanjali's place, her parents had laid conditions that I can marry Geetanjali only after establishing myself. I got a business opportunity & moved to Delhi. I had lost my contact with Geetanjali after a couple of months. I don't know her whereabouts.

Simar: We know her & can help you to get her.

PK: Thanks a lot. Mom is upset with her. She wants to know the reason.

Simar: Her mom is good, but her dad is very strict. He's quite traditional. He does not believe in love-marriages.

PK: Yes, I got to know that from Geetanjali.

Simar: Geetanjali's father had locked her.  He is only allowing her to do a correspondence course. Wherever she goes, his brothers or sisters-in-law accompany her.

PK: Can you please help me?

Simar: Of course.

Prem Bharadwaj comes back from Delhi.
