This is a big, old tree on the bank of the river.

Look the branches! All spread wide, but with a quiver.

It’s a big, old tree. It has seen a lot. It is a forgiver.

It is home to the little passerines by the lown.

It stands for love but the seeds have been sown

Can’t you see it’s tired?! It is falling down.

Awaiting one more storm for it to drown.
