Epilogue

(I hope you've read previous new chapters 6, 7 and 8)

Lockdown was finally over and whole terrace of Taani's house was illuminating bright with white fairy lights.

Clad in plain Red gown, Taani was waiting sitting on one of the two chairs. Her anger was reaching the new heights.

"Where are you, Rey?" She glanced her watch and got up to leave. Rey appeared just then dusting the snow off his long coat. For a moment, he left mesmerized but then realized anger is oozing out of her. An idea clicked his mind and he started singing taking the guitar in his hands,

Aakhon ko..

Teri aadat hai

Tu dikhe na toh inhe shikayat hai

Taani left surprised. Her heart was dying to melt seeing him singing and dancing around her.

Bin chuye chu liye hain

Tune mujhko diye hain

Pyaar ke ye tarane janiya

Ye jo ab ho raha hai

Kuch ajab ho raha hai

Kya yahi hai pyar ka hai ehsaas

Keeping the guitar aside, he did perfect steps matching the lyrics. 

Sau aasmaano ko

Aur do jahaano ko

Chhod ke 'AAYA' tere paas

He pointed his index finger at her expressing beautifully that he came only for her. He left the whole world and came to her. 

Jaane kya hone laga

Mujhko nahi hai khabar

Kyun neend se door yeh

Jaani lagi hai nazar

Their heart wandered through the lanes of memories with the above lines.

Then, Taani sang along him smiling a bit, shaking her leg on the song.

Chhodo ye saari baatein

Ab milli hai jo raatein

Inhe jaane na dena janiya

Ye jo ab ho raha hai

Kuch ajab ho raha hai

Kya yahi hai pyar ka hai ehsaas

She walked closer to him singing, 

Sau aasmaano ko

Aur do jahaano ko

Chhod ke aayi tere paas

Aakhon ko..

Teri aadat hai

He held her and twirled her dancing alongwith her.

Bin chuye chu liye hain

Kuch ajab ho raha hai

Smile adorned their lips as they danced and ended together, 

Sau aasmaano ko

Aur do jahaano ko

Chhod ke "Aayi/Aaya" tere paas...

They hugged as they found their ultimate solace in each others' arms.

Later Rey broke the hug and bent on his knees forwarding his right hand in which he was holding a very beautiful diamond ring.

"I may not be perfect but I want to be better for you... Will you allow me to hold you in a way no other could? Will you allow me to love you... Cherish you for a lifetime and beyond? You complete me but will you allow me to complete you? Just let me be the reason of your smiles, not tears this time?"

Tears rained through their eyes... "Rey, you know what this heart wants!"

"No, I want to hear it over and over again." Hs said like a stubborn child. A smile broke on Taani's lips.

"Yes. My heartbeats say, Yes!" He smiled through the tears and made her wear the ring on the ring finger.

The joyful tears sprinkled through their eyes as they hugged each other promising a lifetime and beyond of love.
