Chapter 15

"Are we welcoming a boss or any celebrity?" Roli huffed as she watched the whole office being decorated with flowers. 

"Whatever. We got the chance to escape from our routine work, right?" Payal winked. Roli shook her head with a sigh.

"Listen, guys" they heard the voice of the manager. "our new boss is arriving in a few minutes now. Hope you all are ready to welcome him". 

The staff responded excitedly. While Roli felt like she was being a part of some daily soap again after watching their drama. 

"And Roli.." manager called, making her surprised. "you're going to welcome the new boss by offering him this bouquet". 

"But, why me?" Roli was confused as the peon handed a bouquet to her. 

"You're the only new employee here. So, I thought you should welcome our new boss" manager replied.

"What weird logic is that?" Roli turned to payal and said in a low voice. While payal shrugged her shoulders as if she had no idea.

"Get back to your places and Roli be ready, sir is here" manager alerted everyone.

Soon the door at entrance flew open as a guy made his way inside the office followed by another guy. 

Wearing a blue blazer, with the goggles on his eyes, he walked in dashingly. 

"Welcome, sir" manager immediately walked up to him and wished. 

"Omg! It's siddhant bharadwaj!" Someone exclaimed aloud. 

While Roli was dumbfounded at her place to know the new boss was none other than Sid. 

"Roli, you were right. We are indeed welcoming a celebrity" payal leaned sideways on to roli and whispered dreamily. 

But, nothing was heard by Roli as she was still in utter shock. Even the manager's call for her to offer the bouquet to Sid went unheard by her. She stood like a statue. 

"Roli.." payal nudged her elbow, making roli to come to reality. 

Finally, coming out of the shock, roli looked at the manager, who signalled her to come forward and hand the bouquet to Sid. 

With all the staff watching her, roli could do nothing but, take forward steps. Reaching a two steps away from Sid, she forwarded her hand with bouquet, without looking at him. 

"Thank you" Sid smiled, accepting the bouquet as he gently caressed her hand in the process. 

Glaring at him, roli turned around and returned to her place. While Sid followed the manager to his cabin. 

Meanwhile Roli rolled her eyes at her colleagues gossiping about Sid and his looks. 

A few minutes later, peon went near Roli "Roli madam, sir is calling you to his cabin". 

"Why?" Roli frowned as if she wasn't interested in meeting Sid. 

"Roli, siddhant sir is calling you. How lucky you are!" One of her colleagues said, exaggerated. They clearly didn't know about Roli and Sid's relationship yet. 

Giving a weird look at her colleague, Roli walked towards Sid's cabin. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door. Within a second, door to Sid's cabin got opened by sumit. 

"You don't need to knock the door, Roli" sitting in his chair, Sid spoke as roli entered the cabin. 

"But, I should maintain the manners with my boss, right?" Roli replied, stressing on the word 'boss'. 

"But, I don't want to be your boss" Sid got up and walked upto her. "I want to be your husband". 

Roli was stunned at his last statement. While what Sid said next, made her froze. 

"Well, I'm your husband now. Congratulations to me" Roli almost felt like Sid had lost his brain and blabbing. 

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Finding roli staring at him, Sid queried. "Not believing what I just said? Wait, let me show you something". 

Then Sid turned to his desk, took out a set of papers and returned to roli. 

"Take a look at this.." Sid handed the papers to roli as he continued"..and please read it carefully this time". 

Roli felt like her mind went blank as she read what actually those papers meant. Those were legal papers for marriage, which had both Roli and Sid's signatures on it. 

"What is this?" Roli yelled, raising her head from the papers. 

"You didn't understand? Well, let me explain you.. these are the legal papers for wedding, which we both signed. It means, we are now legally married" Sid explained calmly. 

"Married? Is it funny for you?" Roli was shocked at Sid's act. She couldn't believe he'd do something like that. For her it looked like a childish act, which wasn't Sid's style to do. 

"I'm serious about everything related to you and you know that" Sid said, sounding so serious of his words. 

"And this is what we've promised to eachother, right. To stay together forever" Sid continued with a soft gaze on her. 

"And you broke that promise already by leaving ten years ago" roli spoke, making him silent. 

"I had to leave for a better future of us together" Sid replied calmly. Those years were like a hell for him without her. 

"There's no us. You're getting married to someone else soon. Stop messing with me now" the headline she read in newspaper suddenly flashed in her mind, making her more pissed off. 

Taking the papers in her hands, roli tore them off in to pieces. While Sid stood without any reaction, watching her calmly. 

"Tearing these papers wouldn't change anything, roli" Sid smiled and took out one more set of papers from his desk. 

"That was just a copy like this one" he flashed the new set of papers before her while continuing "..and the original documents are kept in a safe place". 

Roli's eyes widened in bewilderment. For a moment she even felt like the person standing before her was not Sid she had known but someone else. She was speechless and didn't know what to say about his crazy behaviour. 

"So, congratulations Mrs.Roli Siddhant Bharadwaj" taking a step near her, Sid wished with a gentle smile. 

Roli glared at him while he continued to smile, making her annoyed. 

"Save this drama for your movies. These damn papers wouldn't mean anything to me" roli glared at him and left the cabin like an angry bird. 

After she left, Sid glanced at the pieces of papers that Roli had torn, calmly. When he thought of this way, he knew she'd burst at him. But, he was scared that she would leave him after reading that article about his marriage, though it wasn't true. So, he had to make her sign those papers. And as he had expected, she signed without reading what was written on it. He knew she wouldn't mind to follow any rules and wouldn't read those papers. But, still he had arranged the initial two papers of the set to have rules of office but, the rest of the papers were legal documents of marriage.

Roli's words had surely hurt him. But, he knew she was still upset with his departure years ago and also with the news she read about his marriage. He had expected already her reaction wouldn't be in his favour. Thus, he decided to give her time and was determined to gain her trust again. 

Meanwhile sumit, who was standing aside and watching all the happenings, was stunned at roli's reaction. He had to stay up the whole night to find out the details about the company Roli was working in. And Sid's quick decision to buy the company made him realized how much his boss was in love with roli. And within matter of hours, they settled the things and Sid bought the company over night. 

Until the moment Roli entered Sid's cabin a few minutes ago, sumit was expecting her to be excited to know that she got married to Sid. After all there were many girls waiting to atleast receive a glance from Sid but he never did and sumit had witnessed all those over the years. However, Roli's reaction stunned him to the extent that he stood like a statue. 

Going back to her cubicle, Roli's mind was full of frustration. It wasn't her style to suppress the anger but, now she had to suppress it due to the surroundings. As they got new boss in the office, they hadn't given any work for the day, which made roli even more pissed off whilst sitting idle. 

Sid hadn't come out of his cabin for next two hours, which made roli a bit relieved but she was still as frustrated. 

"Attention, everybody" manager stood in the center and called for the staff's attention. 

"Now that our new boss is here, I'm sure you all know that he is a film maker too. He has other business to maintain too. So, I've appointed one member from you as the personal assistant to siddhant sir, who would help him in managing the events occurring in this company" manager informed.

Meanwhile all the staff members started praying silently that the member for Sid's PA post to be they themselves. 

"And the member who's selected as siddhant sir's PA is.. Roli" manager declared, making everyone else to look at roli. 

"How can a new employee with one day experience be a PA of the boss?" One of the female employees questioned, enviously. 

"It was decided by the boss himself after checking all your resumes. If anyone have any questions, you can go and ask him" manager replied and the staff could no longer raise any questions. 

"Roli, this is your promotion letter. I hope you would justify your role as PA" manager went to roli and gave an envelope to her. 

Holding the letter in her hand, roli's expression was neutral, though her mind was bursting in annoyance with the drama. She knew Sid was doing it all purposely. So, she wasn't much surprised like others. 

The murmuring staff fell in to silence as Sid came out of his cabin along with sumit. Sid straightly walked up to roli and stood before her. 

"Congratulations for your promotion" Sid forwarded his hand with a slight smile, which others admired but Roli glared. 

Reluctantly forwarding her hand towards his, roli gave a hot glare at him. While Sid held her hand firmly as if he would never want to let it go. 

His eyes were filled with undying love;

Whilst her eyes showed stubborn anger.  

His obsessed heart was falling for her all over again;

Her adamant mind wasn't letting her to trust him again. 

In a destructive-like situation between heart and mind; 

It's just a matter of time when heart would win over mind.
