The seasoned actress Zankhana Sheth who essays the mother Devaki in Star Plus' Hamari Devrani suffered a heart attack yesterday night and has been admitted to hospital.

According to our source, "Zankhana suffered a mild heart attack and is kept in the ICU for further observation. Her reports are expected any time. Let's hope that she gets better soon".

Zankhana happens to be the sister of Shobhna Desai who is producing Hamari Devrani. The elderly lady was also seen in Shobhna's past projects, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka and Thodi Khushi Thode Gham.

We tried calling Shobhna Desai to enquire about her sister's health, but she was busy at the hospital.

The present track in Hamari Devrani focuses on the Jethanis being exposed which will culminate in the Taj Poshi of Bhakti, as reported by Telly Buzz.

"We have shot till the sequence wherein the Jethanis decide to enact a drama on Mahabharat on the day of the Crowning Ceremony of Manjula where a silly mistake by the Jethanis ends up exposing them. We guess a change in script needs to be incorporated as Devaki (Zankhana) is a very important character in the whole drama, and we cannot keep her away from the present story line. We have all options open as of now, but will arrive at a decision only after we get to know the exact condition of Zankhana", says our source.

We wish the talented actress a speedy recovery..
