Zee TV brings its viewers an all-new fiction offering Hamari Bahu Silk, an entertaining take on how people who take up questionable jobs that society deems ‘inappropriate’ struggle for acceptance even within their own family and inner circle. With an unusual concept being narrated in a light hearted, slice of life way, actors of the show are leaving no stone unturned to prepare themselves for their new challenging roles. Commitment and dedication are the keys to success and the charming actor Zaan Khan is surely going the extra mile to get into his character’s skin!
The talented actor is seen essaying the role of a young happy-go-lucky boy Naksh Parikh who has a keen interest and inclination towards photography but due to family pressure is being forced into the family business. Zaan has been pulling out all the stops to get his on-screen avatar right. Recently, to look convincing as a 22 year old, the handsome actor lost 12 kgs over a period of one month to fit his character perfectly. He invested the majority of his time playing football and going for long runs to shed those extra kilos.
Talking about this, Zaan said, “I think it is important to look and feel your character. I weighed around 80 kgs before I took up the character of Naksh but the script demanded me to look a certain way so I had to shed 12 kgs within a month’s time and have touched 67 kgs now. Well, it wasn’t easy as I had to be mindful of my diet too. I invested the majority of my time playing my favorite sport football and indulged in multiple outdoor activities which helped me get the desired look. I hope the audiences enjoy watching me as Naksh Parikh”
