'You will have to see to believe how nice it is' - Ravee Gupta

Ekta Kapoor’s biggest epic show Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki launches on July 7th and here is Telly Buzz talking to Satyavati aka Ravee Gupta.

The pretty lady who has earlier played the mother of Zee’s Raavan says, “It's been a wonderful experience working in this epic. I have been shooting in Mumbai and the sets they have put up are wonderful and very lavish. Apparently three to four set designers are on the job at any given point to make sure that everything looks right. I can go on and on about the set, but you will have to see to believe how nice it is!!”. Ravee who is character actor Rajendra Gupta’s daughter quips, “Till now, I have shot with Kiran Karmarkar who is playing Shantanu and Ronit Roy who is playing Bhishma in the serial”.

Apparently, the language of the serial has also been made easy and more contemporary to make it popular amongst masses. So did she have any special preparation for the serial? “Nothing much!! Actually one advantage of playing a role in an epic is the ambiance that is created on the sets. The moment you wear such dresses, put on period props and walk into a regal set you automatically get transferred to that world. So I didn't have to prepare much apart from reading the lines few times," says the gorgeous actress.

Apart from Ekta's Mahabharat, Ravee is also doing a major role in B.R. Chopra's Sujata. She is playing a high-society business woman (Menka) in the show. Is the character developing negative shades? “Unfortunately, in most Indian serials the lead female protagonist has such a traditional, good and helpful character that any other character looks negative in her comparison! I think the same is happening to Menka as well!”, avers Ravee.

Interestingly Ravee wants to participate in a reality show that will allow her to spend some quality time with husband Manoj Biddvai. Only time will tell if Ravee and her hubby will be a jodi to watch out for in the new season of Nach Baliye!!
