Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Vidya and Armaan hire a 'nanny' for Pookie without Abhira's consent

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan and Vidya leave Abhira shocked as they introduce a caretaker for Pookie without informing her. The new nanny, Koel, confidently informs Abhira that she comes with seven years of experience in childcare and has successfully managed up to five children at once. Abhira, however, is taken aback and confronts Armaan about making such a decision without involving her. Armaan tries to explain that he only wanted to ease her burden, noticing how overwhelmed she has been with Pookie's responsibilities.

But Abhira is clearly upset. She tells Armaan that hiring a stranger without her consent feels like a lack of trust in her abilities as a mother. Despite Armaan's insistence that he was only trying to support her, Abhira feels hurt and decides to send the caretaker away. Their conversation turns into an argument and soon the other family members arrive. Abhira accuses Armaan of putting more faith in an outsider than in her, and he defends his actions as concern for both her and the baby. Frustrated, Abhira asks Armaan to leave for work. When he hesitates, wondering if Pookie needs him, Abhira calmly tells him that she's capable of handling things on her own.

After Armaan leaves, Vidya tries to explain his intentions to Abhira, emphasising that he just wanted to be helpful. However, Abhira walks out of the house. Meanwhile, Kajal supports Armaan, saying he wouldn't intentionally hurt Abhira, whereas Manisha takes Abhira's side. Kaveri, noticing the tension, questions Vidya's stance and reminds her to stay out of Armaan and Abhira's personal matters. Realising she may have overstepped, Vidya quietly reflects on her actions.

Later, Abhira attempts to talk things through with Armaan again, but he ignores her. She pleads with him to stop letting disagreements over Pookie affect their relationship. Still, Armaan walks away, heading to the office. Abhira tries calling out to him, but he remains unresponsive. She then turns to Pookie and gently assures the baby that everything will be alright, saying Armaan isn't angry with her.

Soon after, Ruhi arrives with Swarna, Surekha, and Manish to visit Abhira. During the visit, Abhira and Ruhi encourage Pookie and Daksh to spend time together. Swarna notices the emotional distance between Abhira and Armaan and suspects they've had a disagreement. Ruhi urges Abhira to stand her ground when dealing with Armaan.

While Armaan remains preoccupied with thoughts of Pookie, Abhira plays with the baby, who tugs at her earring playfully. Things take a turn when Pookie suddenly develops a fever, leaving Abhira anxious and scared. Manisha, Kajal, Charu, and Kiara rally around her, trying to calm her nerves. Abhira does her best to comfort the unwell child.

When news of Pookie's fever reaches Armaan, he lashes out at Abhira, blaming her for being unable to care for the baby properly. In a moment of frustration, he decides to take Pookie to Ruhi. Kaveri steps in and questions his harsh response, but Armaan insists that Pookie might be crying because she doesn't recognise Abhira as her mother and could be missing the surrogate.

Abhira is devastated to hear this. Kaveri, enraged by Armaan's comments, slaps him and gives him a stern lecture. She reminds him that even Ruhi knew to step back and allow Abhira to bond with Pookie. Kaveri firmly tells Armaan that he has no right to question Abhira's capability as a mother.

In the precap, Abhira grows increasingly worried as Pookie's fever persists. She fears Armaan will once again criticise her parenting. Armaan, meanwhile, insists he wants only the best for Pookie. In tears, Abhira pours out her heart, expressing how neglected she feels — that Armaan only sees her as Pookie's caregiver and not as a person with emotions. Kaveri, observing the emotional turmoil, advises Abhira to step away from Armaan for a while — perhaps that's the only way he'll understand her worth.
