Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Kaveri's birthday unites the family, unaware of the truth set to break them apart

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Abhira gears up for Kaveri's birthday celebration. Ruhi steps in, offering a helping hand, but Abhira politely declines and asks her to simply sit and keep her company instead. Ruhi notices a plate of untouched dinner and curiously asks Abhira if she and Armaan haven't eaten yet. Abhira considers sharing the complications involving Abhir, Kiara, and Charu but recalls Armaan's request to stay quiet. Abhira dismisses Ruhi's concern, saying the heat has been unbearable lately, which has killed her appetite. In her mind, however, she silently apologises to Ruhi for hiding the truth about Abhir's involvement with Charu.

Elsewhere, Swarna expresses concern over Kiara's persistent fever. When Abhir gets wind of Kiara's condition, Swarna encourages him to not only check on her but also have a conversation with Manish. Abhir approaches Kiara, wondering if the stress from their divorce talks has taken a toll on her health. Kiara firmly denies wanting a divorce.

While glancing around, Abhira spots the dragon fruit and asks Ruhi to hand it over so she can prepare it for Armaan. As she begins slicing it, Ruhi offers to help, but Abhira gently declines and mentions that she's unsure of how Armaan prefers to have it. Watching her be so meticulous, Ruhi questions why Abhira is going to such lengths. With a cheerful smile, Abhira expresses that it's all because of her love for Armaan. She then adds that even their baby, Pookie, will likely pick up all of Armaan's habits, joking that managing both father and child will be exhausting, but she's still eagerly waiting to meet her little one.

Ruhi, visibly uncomfortable hearing all this, suddenly excuses herself, saying she's feeling sleepy. As she walks away, Abhira is left puzzled by Ruhi's abrupt change in mood.

The following day, Abhira greets Kaveri with birthday wishes. Kaveri glances around, seemingly searching for her family. Abhira tries to keep the surprise under wraps and distracts her by gently pointing out how her desire to control everything sometimes overshadows her love for the family. Kaveri eventually understands that a surprise party has been organised in her honour. She wonders aloud why such arrangements were made. Manish agrees with her sentiment but mentions that everyone was eager to celebrate. The Poddars, along with Abhira, gather around as the birthday cake is brought out.

As Kaveri prepares to blow out the candle, Manisha asks her to make a wish. Kaveri grows emotional, thinking of Rohit, as this birthday is her first without him. She closes her eyes and prays that Armaan continues to stay with them, just as Rohit had wished. She also asks Rohit to bless their family with unity. After cutting the cake, Vidya gently nudges Kaveri to feed a piece to Armaan, reminding her that he is now their Rohit. Although Kaveri doubts he will eat it, Armaan surprises her by doing so. He then quietly asks Abhira to make sure that Abhir and Charu are kept apart.

Krish announces a dance performance, and soon the entire Poddar family is seen enjoying Kaveri's birthday with song and celebration. Armaan and Abhira share a dance. When Ruhi attempts to join in, Armaan stops her. She pleads for his support, but Armaan tells her to act more maturely. Ruhi is left feeling dejected. While Armaan handles Daksh, Abhira takes it upon herself to serve drinks to the guests.

Abhir notices Ruhi's disappointment. Meanwhile, Charu reaches out to Abhir and asks him to meet her. Abhira, sensing Ruhi's distress, tries to console her. Charu inquires whether Abhir had spoken to Krish, but Abhir reveals that Kiara has been avoiding him. Charu then decides she will talk to Kiara herself.

On the other side, Krish, Kajal, and Swarna stumble upon the truth that Abhir seems entangled with both Charu and Kiara. Kajal blames Abhir for creating confusion, while Swarna believes that Charu is the one disrupting Kiara's relationship.
