Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Charu accepts Abhir's proposal, but there's a twist

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira enters the bathroom in a distraught state, overwhelmed by her emotions. She breaks down but soon gathers herself, splashing water on her face to regain composure and mentally prepare herself to face the challenges ahead. Meanwhile, Armaan and Abhira each experience emotional breakdowns but in their own separate spaces.

Meanwhile, Kiara decides to meet Abhir, but Krish intervenes and stops her. Kiara confesses her feelings for Abhir and declares that she loves him. Krish tries to reason with her, pointing out the ongoing issues between their families. However, Kiara remains determined to pursue Abhir and requests Krish's support if Abhir reciprocates her feelings.

Abhir, on the other hand, mistakenly believes he is chatting with Charu and sends her a message saying, "I love you." Kiara interprets this as a sign that Abhir loves her and insists that Krish support her efforts. Krish, however, doubts Abhir's affection for Kiara, reasoning that Abhir has never interacted with her in a meaningful way. Kiara defends Abhir's seemingly cold behaviour, attributing it to the conflicts between their families. Abhir, unaware of Kiara's feelings, feels overjoyed, assuming Charu has accepted his love.

At home, Surekha asks Abhir to meet some visiting women. The women express sympathy for Abhir's situation and discuss his marriage prospects. Abhir casually mentions that he is seeking a wealthy partner to ensure a comfortable future. Meanwhile, Manish observes Abhir's happiness and shares his thoughts with Swarna. Swarna questions if Manish is uncomfortable with Abhir's cheerful demeanour.

Abhira returns home only to face judgmental remarks from the ladies present. Frustrated, she lashes out at them, sarcastically suggesting they announce her divorce to everyone in Udaipur. Swarna stops Manish from intervening, noting that Abhira is still emotionally affected by Armaan. Meanwhile, Armaan decides to safeguard Abhira's diary, hiding it to prevent Kaveri from finding it.

In another development, Manish meets Roop Kumar, a lawyer who specialises in divorce cases. Manish is impressed by Roop's professionalism as he witnesses him handling a client's case. During the interaction, Roop introduces his younger brother, Bittu. The siblings share a light-hearted moment where Bittu asks for chocolate, and they reminisce about their past.

Later, Abhira finds herself thinking about Armaan. Manish suggests she consider working with Roop to restart her career, but she initially refuses. Abhira makes several calls to seek job opportunities, only to face rejection due to her strained relationship with the Poddar family. Reluctantly, she starts considering Roop's offer and decides to contact him.

When Abhira calls Roop, he teases her, asking if she's impressed by his charm. Annoyed by his flirtatious remarks, she tries to keep the conversation professional and discusses the job. Roop irritates her further by jokingly asking her to bring two tiffins when they meet. Abhira reflects on her predicament and feels that her circumstances, caused by Armaan, are forcing her to tolerate Roop's antics.
