Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan agrees to marry Ruhi; Manish opposes

Tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode begins with Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) bringing her bags downstairs. Armaan (Rohit Purohit) announces his readiness to marry Ruhi (Garvita Sadhwani), bringing smiles to everyone's faces. Abhira stumbles, prompting Armaan to step forward worriedly, but Ruhi stops him. Abhira manages to depart the Poddar house with the song 'Just Go to Hell' playing in the background. Vidya expresses her desire for the marriage to happen soon and starts preparing for it. Manish enters and says the engagement cannot happen because he does not want Ruhi to go through the same experience. Dadi asserts that Ruhi is her daughter-in-law, and Abhira means nothing to her. Dadi insists that Ruhi stays there by choice and is ready for the marriage, asking Ruhi to confirm it. Manish refuses to listen to Ruhi and urges Armaan to reconsider his decision, saying that his previous relationship has just ended. Dadi argues back, guaranteeing that Ruhi will not behave like Abhira, whom she describes as selfish and misbehaving. Manish then questions why Sanjay is still living in the house.

Manish cautions Ruhi to reconsider her decision:

Sanjay, enraged, grabs Manish by the collar. As everyone tries to intervene, Sanjay pushes them away, causing Ruhi to fall. Manish asks if Ruhi is okay, and Dadi blames him for Ruhi’s unhappiness, saying she was fine before he arrived. Manish confronts Dadi about who is responsible for Kajal’s tears, leading to a heated argument. He accuses Dadi of silencing her daughters-in-law and treating them like puppets. Dadi retorts by reminding him that he cast out his own daughter, Akshara, causing Manish to recall the incident and cry. He explains that he chose Ruhi over his daughter. Dadi asks if nothing similar has happened in his family, and Manish replies that her daughters-in-law are not allowed to think for themselves. Dadi declares that her rules will prevail in her house and demands agreement with Armaan and Ruhi’s alliance. Manish adamantly refuses, stating that he did not raise his daughter to live like a subordinate and will not let her marry Armaan.

Dadi warns Manish that her will is unshakeable and swears to Rohit that she will ensure Ruhi's happiness by marrying her to Armaan. She asserts that no one can stop her. Manish responds that he will only bow to love, not pride. Dadi insists that Ruhi and Armaan are perfect for each other, but Manish disagrees. Ruhi declares her wish to marry Armaan, but Manish warns that she might later regret it. Armaan agrees to the marriage for Ruhi’s sake. Manish cautions Ruhi to consider if Armaan is agreeing out of compulsion before leaving.

Swarna defends Armaan:

Abhira, meanwhile, checks out a rental room and negotiates the rent. The landlord suggests she should go to a hostel if it’s better, but she refuses, not wanting to run into Armaan. The landlord insists on the rent despite the lack of a lock on the door, saying the staff will frequently come and go. He tells her to block the door with her bag, assuring her no one will intrude while leering at her. After he leaves, she hears Armaan’s name mentioned.

Manish returns home and argues with Swarna about Armaan's actions towards Ruhi and Abhira. Swarna defends Armaan as responsible and insists that Ruhi’s happiness lies with him. Manish, however, believes that Ruhi will end up alone and sorrowful if she marries Armaan and vows not to let the marriage happen, predicting tears instead of happiness for her. Abhira, holding a checkbook, begins to cry and attempts to tear it up before collapsing in despair.
