Yeh Hai Chahatein's Shagun Sharma reacts on Sargun's statements of playing a mother to her onscreen

Shagun Sharma who has been roped in to play the character of 'Kashvi' in Star Plus's popular show 'Yeh Hai Chahatein' got in an exclusive conversation with India Forums and spoke her heart out on being a part of the show and more. 

Star Plus's show 'Yeh Hai Chahatein' has been one of the most loved shows on Indian Television. The show recently took a generation leap post which Pravisht Mishra and Shagun Sharma have been roped in to play the leads. While Sargun and Abrar have called it quits, Pravisht and Shagun as the new leads of the show are also doing wonders. 

Well, we got in touch with Shagun to talk about her stint in the show and asked her about the response she has been getting from the audience and the actress said, ''Well, the response I have been getting from the audience has been great. People are loving the show and we have been showered with a lot of love. The only thing I had my reservations about is the set of my show being really far. But if you ask me about the response, it has all been really great.''

We asked the actress about being roped in for a Balaji show and what was her reaction upon being asked to do the show and the actress said, ''A lot of people do not know that my career started with Balaji. However, at that point of time I was too young to understand the opportunity I got. But when I worked with multiple production houses I realised things were better with Balaji. You have to agree on the fact that Balaji is the Yashraj of television, It is a huge brand. So when I was approached for the show, I was very happy. It is a Balaji show and secondly it is a Star Plus show too. When the show was offered to me, I did not know the sets of the show are in Naigaon. When I got a call from the production for the auditions, I was in Himachal. I recorded 4 auditions from there. However, they then told me that things wont work out. I was okay about it. But then they called me again in a few days and asked me to come down to Mumbai for a mock shoot. After the mock shoot, I came home and slept. I woke up to multiple missed calls. When I called back, they told me I was selected. That feeling was amazing.''

The actress further spoke about her bond with costar Pravisht Mishra and said, ''Pravisht is a very supportive and sweet person. Work becomes a lot of fun with him. I keep pulling his legs. Abrar too teased me for continuously pulling his legs once.''

We asked Shagun about her interaction with Sargun and Abrar and the actress said, ''We had an amazing interaction. I am very close to Sargun. We chill and gossip together all the time. When I first met her, I thought she would not like me, since she was doing the show for such a long time and I was replacing her. However, that was not the case. She is a very sweet and down to earth person and I share a great bond with her.''

In a recent interview with a popular media portal, Sargun Kaur Luthra had stated that she did not want to play a mother to a girl who was older to her. Shagun reacted to this and said, ''My casting was done end moment. The news of Sargun quitting the show had come out long before. I don't think so she knew about me being casted in the show. I am sure her words are tweaked. And even if she has said it, I think she is right. Because playing a mother onscreen is a huge deal.''
