It seems Sony TV is all guns blazing and is going all out to enter the big league with an array of upcoming shows in their kitty.

Apart from Sanaya Irani's comeback show, 'Kavya Ki Prathna', the historical opus, 'Porus' has been under works too.

And now, according to reports, the channel is gearing up for another historical tale which would be that of Prithvi Vallabh, the ruler of Malwa in Madhya Pradesh.

The show is helmed by writer, Aniruddh Pathak who is best known for writing shows like Mahakumbh, Karam Apna Apna among others.

And, none other than actor, Ashish Sharma himself has been roped in to play the titular character of King Prithvi Vallabh himself.

It is also being said that beautiful actress, Sonarika Bhadoria, who became a household name with her character in 'Devon Ke Dev. Mahadev' has been roped in to play the female lead.

Ashish was last seen portraying Lord Ram in the Star Plus mythological show, 'Siya Ke Ram.'

We contacted Ashish, who asked us to call later, only to remain unavailable later.

We also contacted Sonarika, who said, "I cannot comment anything on this right now."
