The sets of the show, 'Police Factory' were recently invaded by a vigilance team of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Friday night, and the team apparently stalled the shoot as they felt the women on the sets were not secured and had to shoot for long working hours.

Raj Surve, member of FWICE, said, "The unit starts shooting early in the morning and it goes on till late hours. There are female artistes who leave the set in Madh Island post 10 pm and do not get any transportation facility. The road leading to the shoot location is dark and deserted. Who will be responsible in case of an untoward incident? On Friday, we visited the set of 'Police Factory' and stopped the shoot since the artistes and technicians were working for nearly 14 hours and there were non-members on the unit. So, I will write a letter to CINTAA and warn the producer."

While Shankar, the business head refuted the claims, we contacted actor, Tarun Khanna, who plays the lead on the show.

He said, "I wasn't shooting on Friday, but I got to know that these people had come and the shooting was stalled. I don't really want to comment on this, but I absolutely agree that woman's safety should be of paramount concern not only on our sets, but everywhere."

On being asked whether that's a concern on 'Police Factory sets, he said, "Just yesterday, there was a fair going on in Madh and I was told by the production people to be careful while going back as its going to be massive traffic later on. So, not only me but everyone was notified about it. The production always takes care of the female and male artistes equally and there has never been a problem with it. However, if there is a shortcoming in it, it should be rectified right away. As the people who came on the sets wouldn't have just barged in. They must have received a complaint and exercised action on it. So if there is a problem it should be rectified."

The actor also adds, "Me and other male artistes on the show keep it in mind to drop the female artistes and technicians if its too late or at least to a safer area from where they can board a vehicle to their respective houses."
