Witness to Liam Payne's fatal fall shares unforgettable experience

An eyewitness has recounted the haunting experience of witnessing Liam Payne's tragic fall in Buenos Aires. Bret Watson, who was at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in October, was on a call with his wedding planner when he saw the former One Direction star fall from the third floor. Rushing to the balcony, Watson described seeing Liam lying motionless on the ground, face up.

In an interview with a leading publication, Watson recalled, “We were looking out at the pool area when we saw Liam fall. It was surreal; time seemed to stop.” He expressed that the sound of Liam hitting the ground was more disturbing than the fall itself, stating it is an image that will remain etched in his memory forever.

The upcoming documentary titled Liam Payne: Who's To Blame?, features Watson discussing the incident, emphasizing how “heartbreaking” it was to witness. He and his wedding planner exchanged shocked glances, realizing the gravity of what had just happened.

Watson also noted that earlier in the day, he observed Liam becoming increasingly intoxicated. He witnessed hotel staff carrying a visibly impaired Liam back to his room shortly before the fall. Contrasting Watson's account, Liam's friend Rogelio "Roger" Nores claimed that when he last saw Liam an hour prior, he was in good spirits and only slightly tipsy.

Official documents indicate that Liam had been searching for drugs earlier that day. A waiter alleged to have supplied him with cocaine and whiskey during his stay stated that Liam did not pay for the substances.

The documentary airs tonight on FOX and will stream on Hulu starting Tuesday.
