Wilson requests media for privacy

‘You, me and Dupree’ star Owen Wilson has asked for privacy, especially from the media, while undergoing treatment at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles .

Wilson alleged to have attempted suicide was first taken in an ambulance to the St. John's Hospital , California , on August 26, 2007 after suffering from dehydration. However, his brother Andrew found some superficial wounds on his wrist and an empty bottle of medical pills in his bathroom telling a completely different story. Star and The National Enquirer then broke the story about Wilson attempting suicide.

Wilson. on his part wishes to stay away from controversy now. "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," he said.

Though Wilson was in a critical condition, a Cedars-Sinai Medical Center spokesperson reveals he is out of danger and in 'good condition'.
