Actress Niyati Fatnani is currently winning accolades for her portrayal of Asmita Roy, a Bengali girl who is an award-winning editor and loves reading classic literature, in the Hotstar series, Dear Ishq. After jumping onto the OTT bandwagon, Niyati is receiving an abundance of appreciation and recognition from all over.

Talking about the popularity she is receiving for her performance on OTT, Niyati says, "Needless to say, OTT has opened a whole new world for actors. Currently, I am enjoying working for OTT and, obviously, it is something different from working for a television show. Every medium has its own audience, be it television, OTT or Bollywood. Whenever an actor tries a new medium, they get a different audience and it's not easy to make a connection with them. OTT is different from television and hence the effort done on both the medium is also unique."

She lastly adds, "OTT has introduced me to a whole lot of new audience. Till now, the TV audience were aware of my acting skills, but now OTT has made a familiar name among the youth too. I am happy with the way Dear Ishq is receiving fame and popularity among the audience."

Professionally, Niyati has acted in various shows, like Nazar, Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhage, D4- Get up and Dance. The actress is popularly known for her role in Channa Mereya. She also made a cameo in the Hotstar series, Aashiqana, produced by Gul Khan. Niyati was recently seen in the colors TV show Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal.
