Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi (
Erica Fernandes) wedding is all set to be finally happening tomorrow. A love story which has gone through all the trials and tribulations is now finally going to become an unbreakable union.
However, leading up to this gala affair, one person who has gone through the most emotional struggle is Dev's mother, Ishwari (
Supriya Pilgaonkar). While the viewers have already been witnessing the major struggle, Ishwari is facing going for her own son's marriage, there are other shocking moments waiting in store..
It will be seen how Sonakshi will not choose to wear the expensive and rich wedding lehenga which was gifted by Ishwari and will instead wear a simple sari given to her by her father, Bijoy (
Jagat Rawat).
And leading to this, we list down the various sacrifices that Ishwari has already made for her son, Dev.
Bearing flak from Sonakshi's family at the time of reuniting Dev and Sonakshi
Yes, she was the reason why Dev and Sonakshi broke up and she wanted to be the reason for their patch-up too. As she was the central point of the propaganda, when she went to Sonakshi's house for a reunion of the love birds, she had to face some major flak and allegations from Bijoy. Being the culprit and also for her son's happiness, Ishwari took the insult being absolutely calm.
Begging to Sonakshi to come back in Dev's life
Sonakshi was the person Ishwari hated the most and did not want to be a part of her son's life. In fact, she schemed and plotted her ways to eradicate Sonakshi from Dev's life. However, in a complete switchover, only for her son's happiness, Ishwari countered her ego to go and beg Sonakshi to come back in his life.
Agreeing to Bengali rituals in spite of being a Brahmin
This too was something that was extremely important to Ishwari. A dedicated Brahmin, she agreed for the marriage to be done according to the Bengali rituals. For someone like Ishwari, who has been very particular and selfish about her practices and other things, this was a major shocker.
Gulping down the fact that Non-Vegetarian food will be served at the wedding
As reported recently and witnessed in one of the promos, Ishwari will do one of the biggest sacrifices ever when she would attend her own son's wedding which will be having non-vegetarian food served. An absolutely strict vegetarian and a Brahmin, she will gulp down this sacrifice with a quiet mouth and not even drink the water served at the wedding.
Sporting a smile when Sonakshi will NOT wear the lehenga gifted by her
As mentioned above, this will be an emotional sacrifice for Ishwari. While the other ones were related to self-esteem and religion, this one would be related to emotions. Ishwari will be gifting an exclusive and expensive lehenga to Sonakshi for the wedding. However, Sonakshi will choose to wear a simple sari given by her father instead. Ishwari will be extremely irked about it but will not say a word.
While, Ishwari, as a mother is going all-out and sacrificing time and again, we certainly suspect her actual motto behind the same. As we have already witnessed the true-blue Ishwari, when amidst all of these 'sacrificing' practices, she tricked Dev into signing the Pre-Nuptial agreement recently.
Its the happiest day for a mother when her son gets married. A mother also goes through various turbulences for her kids. While Ishwari is an ideal mother when it comes to loving her own kids, her ego and selfishness is surely debatable.
