CitylightsBollywood is filled with stories of inspiration, characterizations and stars stepping into shoes of a common man, to live their experiences in life. While most of the times the real instances, are never captured, here's a tale with a twist to it.

One of the best actors of Bollywood Rajkummar Rao who will next be seen in Hansal Mehta's Citylights has been in the shoes of poor common man, for whom daily wages makes him burn the lamp at home. To get into the character fully, Rajkummar posed as a commoner to witness the struggle of a commoner in the dream city of Mumbai.

Infact, what we hear is that Rajkummar posed as a menial worker and tried to look for jobs in Mumbai and went from door to door for the same. The footage of the same was been captured with cams from far away and has been added to the film too.

"Rajkumar went looking for a job near Santacruz station and asked if he could get some work there but everyone denied and later he landed up at a construction site nearby. The contractor offered him to work at a wage of 100 rupees a day and he agreed to work. Rajkummar actually slogged and worked hard to earn that note of 100 rupees and this scene you will even see in the film", said a source close to their production team.

Well, with so much hard work and commitment, we see the reason why Rajkummar Rao won the National Award.
