March 8 marks International Women's Day and as much as we glorify it, we should take a moment and wonder if we really need it! Over time, we've seen the portrayal of women go from bad to worse on TV, ads and life in general.

In an attempt to revere and respect women on one particular day, we only end up promoting hypocrisy.

Feminists are considered to be the not-so-good people in the society, for they are people who 'supposedly' promote the 'women > men' theory. While people fail to understand that feminism is about equality, they choose to direct women on how they should behave or what they should wear for that matter.

People try to balance it with '1/365' days allotted to women.

Our TV diva, Jennifer Winget aka Maya from 'Beyhadh' seems to be having a similar take on celebrating Women's Day. She took to Instagram to take a dig at the hypocrisy that prevails in the society.

Here's what she posted:

We, and the society, together need to understand this. Do all women deserve this one day of pomp and show? Aren't they entitled to much more than just that?
