Landing in a debut show is a big deal for any actor. And if he or she has been offered the main role, it becomes a huge responsibility for them.

And something similar happened with actors Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar who made a smashing entry into the television industry with Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai... Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara.

Not only were Nakuul and Disha debutants at that time, but were cast opposite each other as the lead pair of the show. Their on-screen chemistry clicked instantly with the audience and the show was an instant hit with the masses.

And yesterday was the day when Pyaar Ka Dard Hai... was launched. Both Nakuul and Disha reminisced their Pyaar Ka Dard Hai days and acknowledged how the show was a 'life changing event' for them.

Congrats NaSha on #5UearsOfPKDH !! One of the best family dramas on tv and one of the best love stories too.. PaYa are unique as they walked from friendship to love and the level of trust and understanding in their relationship was awesome! It was different from the general trend of tv shows which follow the same of formula of hate-love-hate and misunderstandings..
Nakuul Mehta's Adi was one of the best male chars on tv
Disha Parmar was lovely as Pankhuri
The whole cast of the show was great be it Mansi Salvi as Avantika or Sonali Naik as Sheila or Mukesh Khanna as Nanu or Paintal as Dadaji.. This show had a truckload of talented actors who did full justice to their roles..
No wonder the show was such a big hit despite the leads being debutants at that time..

Love PKDH forever!!! Wish we could get a season 2 of this shw!!

Adi & Pankhuri are one among the rare couple on screen who walked from friendship to love rather than a usual love hate relationship. Fact that both there characters were maintained till end without butchering like usually happens in shows after a point of time. I still watch PaYa scenes on hotstar.
