We were not prepared for the big storm says Shrenu Parikh aka Gauri of Ishqbaaz!

Star Plus' show Ishqbaaz is taking a generation leap very soon and post the leap only Nakuul Mehta will be retained in the show. Rest all the actors Surbhi Chandna, Shrenu Parikh. Leenesh Mattoo, Mansi Srivastava and Kunal Jaisingh will be making an exit for the show.

The news has come as a major shock for the fans of the show and everybody is upset about this new development. But as they say, the show must go on. We chatted with Shrenu Parikh aka Gauri, and she had some interesting things to say about the journey of the show, Surbhi aka Annika and how much she would miss working on this show.

About the entire scenario going around Ishqbaaz right now

I think the entire scenario around the show is a reflection of how much love Ishqbaaz and we have got and it feels amazing. I'm blessed to have been a part of this amazing show. Also Surbhi's character Annika has created a special place in hearts of viewers and it's extremely wonderful to see how fans have reacted to her departure. As much as we're sad about leaving the show, the fact is, the show must go on and that's how it is. Afterall, we're actors and shows come and go. So it's alright.

It's difficult for the new cast to get the same acceptance, how will it work out

Of course initially it would be difficult because audience is used to watching us on the show, but I want to say that fans have the heart of gold and eventually they will accept them. Also, if the content is good then they will receive the same affection.

About the journey of Ishqbaaz ending suddenly

See, when you expect too much, it always hurts. Yes, it ended very suddenly and we were all shocked. We were honestly not prepared for the big storm, but as I said we're actors and this a part of our lives. I'm gonna miss the people on the set, all my co-actors and just being the part of this show very much.

About making the most of the last days of the show

We're making the most of the last days on the sets of the show. We girls are planning to meet, Surbhi is shooting for her promo today, and Mansi and I are waiting for her. We're also planning for potluck on the last day of the show. We'll eat and laugh and cherish our last moments.
