A show going off-air, no matter how soon or later it does, is never a good feeling. Even when the show has run its course, the actors do feel awful. And actor Amit Behl shares the same emotions about his show Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, which is produced by Rajan Shahi under his banner Director’s Kut Productions, going off-air on March 11.

Sharing his disappointment, he said, “It's been a small journey, a short journey. I wouldn't say it's really small because we started shooting for it in June 2023. We started getting geared up for the show by mid-May. Finally, in August, we went on air, and now, on the 11th of March, it's off. It's a very bitter-sweet feeling because of the bond that developed with the whole team. I've done more than 120 shows, but this is one of the few where I really feel bad. The feeling of separation on the sets was crazy. It was not easy for all. It's like a choking feeling that is coming to my throat right now.”

He also shared that the bonding between the cast has been very organic since day one and said, “When we met on the first day of the reading, the cast introductions, the various pujas that Rajan Ji had, worshipping together at the holy places in Mumbai, and then caring for each other's problems, it all started from the very beginning. If somebody is not well and somebody is lost near or dear, the feeling is genuine. I really looked forward to going on the set and carrying food from home and sharing it during the break, pepping up each other to do wonderful scenes, and creating reels.”

“I am bad at social media, but, Sayli, Sheeba, Ankita, Romit, Mohit, and everybody, were like, 'No, Amit Ji, you can do it’, ‘Papaji, you can do it’. It was a great feeling, and the bond was organic, not built at all. It was also one of the few sets, where there were zero problems among the actors,” he added.

Amit also recalled one of the scenes that was toughest for him, but he nailed it and was appreciated by everyone. He said, “The confrontation between Vijay Karmakar (Yatin Karyekar) and me, for which the audience, the channel, and the actors were eagerly waiting, was that me and Yatin had to speak for about 30-35 pages, one-to-one. And I think it was a great scene, and I nailed it because I did prepare for that scene, as did Yatin. I started my career with him in ‘Shanti’ and we share a great bond, and mutual respect as co-actors.”
