WAVES 2025: 'Panchayat' Makes History As First Series To Be Featured

'Panchayat' is poised to make history at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, taking place at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai from May 1 to May 4. The show's creators and cast will participate in a special session at the summit, marking a significant event for the series.

The session, "Making of Panchayat: Grassroot Storytelling," is designed to celebrate and spotlight the show's impact on redefining regional storytelling in the digital realm. Scheduled for Day 3 of the summit, the event will feature Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and Faisal Malik, among others.

About Panchayat

'Panchayat,' a comedy-drama web series, unfolds in Phulera, a remote village in Uttar Pradesh. The series follows engineering graduate Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) as he navigates his role as the secretary of the local Gram Panchayat. The show delves into themes of rural life, politics, and the dynamics of relationships.

Alongside Jitendra Kumar, the cast includes Neena Gupta as Pradhan Manju Devi Dubey, Raghubir Yadav as her cunning husband Brij Bhushan Dubey, and Chandan Roy as the endearing office assistant Vikas. The series currently boasts three seasons.
