Vipul Amrutlal Shah on casting a 'new face' in the form of Prem Parija for 'Commando'

The entertainment industry places a high value on content and talent that appeals to audiences. Among the many names in the industry, visionary filmmaker, producer, and director Vipul Amrutlal Shah is one of the most creative geniuses and a new-gen content creator in the film industry today. He has always brought out the content without compromising on any aspect and has delivered a spectacle to the audience. The pioneer filmmaker and producer who has changed the dynamics of the action genre by introducing a new and raw format of action stunts with his most successful franchise, Commando, is all set to delve into the OTT Space with the highly ambitious Commando series. The makers who launched Vidyut Jammwal as the mainstream action hero with the Commando film proved their command over the great talent and skilled actor, and they have also introduced a new talent, Prem, who is eventually picked out from the group of 11000 talents.

The casting of the highly ambitious web series Commando was jointly looked after by Sunshine Pictures, helmed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, and established and renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who has given some of the greatest talents to the Indian Entertainment Industry. Before launching the series, the duo spent a significant amount of time casting the show to ensure that whoever is going to be the show's face fits the bill perfectly. Mukesh Chhabra and Sunshine Pictures received 11,000 applicants who applied to be the faces of the highly ambitious series, but the makers, who have always been known for picking the perfect talent in their ventures, tested the true potential of the talent and picked up the young and promising talent Prem from the list of 11,000 applicants. 

The show, and its magnanimous scale and the content which is being paired up with the spectacle visuals demanded a talent who could have done justice to the template of the show and could meet requirements and when Sunshine Pictures and Mukesh Chhabra was picking up the talent from 11000 contestants they found Prem the right one to meet the requirements of the character and the scale of the show and thus keeping in mind the talent and potential of Prem, the makers chose him to be face of the much awaited show.

Talking about the casting of Prem, the director and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, "Content has been the first priority for me always, and then I search for a face to showcase it the way we have planned the project. Since we began planning the show, I have been certain that we will provide a stage for emerging and fresh  talent to demonstrate their abilities. We chose Prem to be the show's face. Prem is a young actor with impressive acting abilities and exceptional martial arts and action talents. I was confident that by making Prem the show's face, I was giving the genre and the show its due respect."

Starring the dynamic and immensely talented Prem in and as Commando, the action-thriller will also see Adah Sharma, Vaibhav Tatwawadi pivotal roles, alongside Shreya Singh Chaudhry, Amit Sial and Ishteyak Khan.
