When you need the best action sequences in your film, whom would you call? Yes, that’s exactly right, 'the stuntmen'! The need for unadulterated action sequences call for the best men in the industry. In the contemporary and evolving world of cinema, there has been a constant need to stuntmen to avoid green screen and VFX. These action heroes never fail to hold your breath despite the dangers of getting injured.

Yesterday noon, Joe Watts who is Vin Diesel’s stunt double for Fast and Furious 9 suffered serious head injuries on the sets of the upcoming film. A safety cable snapped and Joe leaped off a balcony on sets as he hit the ground below as he fell approximately 30ft from the ground.

His fiancée Tilly Powell wrote on Facebook that her "heart is shattered" over the devastating news.

She said: "Joe has suffered a serious head injury and is in an induced coma. He is stable and is being monitored closely throughout the night.

"I love him so much and my heart is shattered. He has all his family and friends by his side to get him through this!"

The shoot was halted immediately after the accident and the cast and crew were sent home ‘fearing the worst’ as the stuntman was rushed to the Royal London Hospital.

A source reported The Sun saying, “The stuntman fell at least 30ft — maybe a bit more. Vin Diesel was seen on set seconds after. He looked ashen, totally in shock and blinking back tears. He saw what happened.”

Furthermore, it was also reported that the police confirmed they attended and are carrying out inquiries.

Diesel was reportedly said to be in total shock and choking back tears after Joe Watts fell on his head as he performed a stunt in the actor's place.
