Stepping into the formidable shoes of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Vicky Kaushal has not only garnered praise for his portrayal but also expressed deep gratitude towards the Sikh Regiment, who played a pivotal role in shaping his on-screen persona.

In a touching gesture, Vicky Kaushal shared a captivating photo dump on social media, a visual ode to the Sikh Regiment, who had previously trained him for his role in the blockbuster "URI" and once again for the much-anticipated "Sam Bahadur." The images and videos showcase the actor immersing himself in the rigorous training sessions, performing daring stunts under the guidance of dedicated army personnel. In one candid moment, Vicky is seen engrossed in conversation with a group of army men, highlighting the camaraderie forged during the training sessions.

The actor captioned the post with genuine warmth, expressing, "Must say I got a ‘warm’ welcome by the 6 Sikh Regiment this time during my trip to Delhi for #SAMबहादुर Trailer launch! In 2018, before we started filming URI, I was trained by the 7 Sikh Regiment. Unki obstacle training drills ki yaadein taaza ho gayi… always feels great to get a pat on your back by the real heroes! 🫡."

The trailer launch event itself was a momentous occasion, graced by the presence of Army Chief General Manoj Pande Sir and other distinguished officers at The Manekshaw Centre in Delhi. Vicky Kaushal, essaying the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw is setting the tone for the film's impending release on December 1. 

As audiences brace themselves for this historical drama, Vicky Kaushal's multifaceted journey in Bollywood continues, with another talked-about project, Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki," on the horizon, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and others, scheduled for a Christmas 2023 release.
