Veteran Actor Soumitra Chatterjee Passes Away at 85
Reports suggest that Chatterjee was admitted in a hospital in Kolkata on 6th October 2020 after being tested positive for COVID-19. It was a long and gruesome battle for Chatterjee spanning over 40 days but ultimately he succumbed to the same and passed away.

Another legend has passed away and it is indeed a sad bit of news that actor and loved industry man Soumitra Chatterjee has passed away at the age of 85 after fighting a long battle.
Reports suggest that Chatterjee was admitted in a hospital in Kolkata on 6th October 2020 after being tested positive for COVID-19. It was a long and gruesome battle for Chatterjee spanning over 40 days but ultimately he succumbed to the same and passed away.
Chatterjee was one of the most prolific names in the Bengali industry where he is best remembered for his many collaborations with the great Satyajit Ray and even received the coveted Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
