Update: Woman Who Accused Karan Oberoi of Rape Gets Attacked

The Karan Oberoi case only seems to intensify with every passing day as per the latest development. The last we knew was how Oberoi suffered from a panic attack on his way to the jail and his bail plea was rejected too. And now, according to reports, the woman who accused Karan hs been allegedly attacked by two bike-borne men who slashed her arm with a blade during her walk in Andheri West.

She also mentioned that the bikers threw a paper on her that had "take back the case" scribbled on it.

In a statement to Bombay Times, “We have sought the closed-circuit television(CCTV) footage of the stretch where the incident took place and the route the two bikers took. The woman said the biker was in a helmet and the pillion rider had covered his face with a mask,” said an Oshiwara police officer.

In her police complaint, the woman said, “I am undergoing treatment for depression and my doctor has advised morning walks. On Saturday, I left home at 5.40am and took an autorickshaw to Lokhandwala Circle. From there, I walked towards Millat Nagar back road to reach Yamuna Nagar junction and Joggers Park, where two men on a bike began to follow me. They attacked me and threw a chit with ‘take back the case’ scribbled on it.”

The woman also mentioned how the bikers were reportedly aware of her daily schedule. Post the incident, the lady rushed to the police to lodge a complaint and the police have now registered a case against unknown persons under IPC sections 34 for common intention, 324 for causing hurt with a dangerous weapon and 506-II for criminal intimidation.
