Unlike his character Paritosh in 'Anupamaa', Aashish Mehrotra believes: age is just a number in love

Star Plus show ‘Anupamaa’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The show has been static at the TOP position in the BARC chart. The show has managed to hit 4.2 ratings this week. The current track of the show revolves around Anupamaa getting to know that Anuj loves her for 26 years. While initially Anupamaa didn’t know how to react, Samar made her understand the purity of Anuj’s love and hence Anupamaa thanked Anuj for loving her all this while. She made it clear to him that she can only offer her friendship to him and nothing more than that. Anuj is happy even to get Anu’s friendship.

Baa, Kavya, Vanraj and Paritosh are few people who’re totally against the thought of Anupamaa moving on, making friends and even succeeding in life. At one instance, Paritosh stated ‘Mummy ke dost nahi hote’. India Forums got in touch with Aashish Mehrotra and asked him about his thoughts on people especially woman finding love later in their life. He said, “Paritosh has always been more influenced by his father Vanraj Shah and his thought process has also become more like him. Contrary to Paritosh, I believe age is just a number when it comes to finding love. Both man and a woman try to give their hundred percent to make their relationship work but when things fall apart they decide to go on separate ways and after that if they find solace in someone else, then there shouldn’t be a problem”.

He added, “I think people should not think much about the society. One can’t keep everyone happy and they should decide to move on for their own happiness. One a young girl or boy can fall in love with older partners then why can’t an older person find love with another individual. I feel age is just a number when it comes to love and I’m all for people getting the love of their lives, irrespective of their age or situations”.
