Singer Udit Narayan recently found himself in the middle of a controversy after videos of him kissing female fans at a concert went viral. While social media debated the incident, the veteran singer has now addressed it with humor.

At the trailer launch of the upcoming film Pintu Ki Pappi, Udit Narayan made a lighthearted comment on the movie’s title. He jokingly said, "Khubsurat title hai aapki, Pintu Ki Pappi. Aur Udit ki Pappi toh nahi?" (Pintu Ki Pappi is a beautiful title. It's not Udit Ki Pappi, right?). His remark left the audience laughing.

Talking further about the controversy, he added, "Ye bhi ek ittefaq hai ki abhi hi ye release hona tha... matlab music. Waise 2 saal pehle ka video hai Australia ka jo aap abhi dekh rahe hai." (It’s just a coincidence that this is releasing now… I mean the music. The video you all are watching is actually from two years ago in Australia).

Meanwhile, Pintu Ki Pappi is a fun-filled entertainer about a young man whose kisses bring unexpected twists to his life. The film, directed by Shiv Hare, stars Sushant, Janya Joshi, and Vidhi in key roles, along with experienced actors like Vijay Raaz and Murali Sharma. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who plays a crucial role, was also present at the event.

The controversy surrounding Udit Narayan began when clips surfaced of him kissing a woman on the cheek and later on the lips while performing Tip Tip Barsa Paani from the 1994 film Mohra. The woman appeared visibly surprised and confused, sparking online backlash.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Udit defended himself, stating, "Fans are crazy, right? We are decent people. Some people show love this way. Why blow things out of proportion? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards too. Some fans extend their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands… this is all just fan craze. One shouldn’t pay too much attention to it.”

With his witty response at the event, Udit Narayan seems to be handling the situation with charm, but the debate around his viral video continues.
