We have seen our favorite actors don various characters on television. But some have progressed to enhance their versatility as an anchor too. Let's take a look at some of the most versatile actors of Indian Television who have proved their mark in various genres:

Annup Sonii - Ji Sirji (Non - Fiction Comedy) and Crime Patrol (Fiction episodic)

Known for his power packed performances, Annup Sonii, anchor of the popular show Crime Patrol on Sony TV, ventured into Comedy, a completely different genre by essaying the role of different kinds of bosses in Big Magic's satirical comedy 'Ji Sirji' on Big Magic .

While in Crime Patrol he talks about the various social issues prevailing in India, in Ji Sirji Annup portrays various characters, from a haryanvi inspector to a doctor and even a captain of a ship, thereby bringing about the boss v/s subordinate relationship in a humorous manner.

Rithvik Dhanjani - Yeh Hai Aashiqui (Fiction-Youth) and Nach Baliye 7 (Non-fiction Dance show)

Rithvik started his career as a dancer, and then played the role of an ideal husband in popular daily soaps before moving into anchoring. The actor hosted various shows ranging from bindass' Yeh Hai Aashiqui, where along with anchoring he also told the world his real-life love story with Asha Negi. He also co-hosted the celebrity couple dance show Nach Baliye 7, which used to air on Star Plus.

Karan Patel - Gumrah (Fiction-episodic) and Nach Baliye 7 (Non-fiction Dance show)

One of the most popular actors of Indian Television right now, who currently plays the role of a Punjabi businessman on 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', Karan Patel is known for his charismatic looks and has time and again been compared with Shah Rukh Khan. 

He has also anchored some popular TV shows ranging from a Youth show Gumraah, and also co-hosted the celebrity couple dance show Nach Baliye 7. While Gumraah was about the crime related incidents committed by young people, Nach Baliye was a dancing contest between real and reel life television couples.

Karan Kundra - Gumrah (Fiction-episodic) and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya 6 (Non-fiction Dance show)

This blue eyed boy of Balaji Telefilms hosted three seasons of the youth crime series Gumraah (End of innocence) before foraying into a relationship-based show Pyar Tune Kya Kiya season 6 which airs on Zing.

Kavita Kaushik - Fakebook with Kavita (Non-Fiction episodic) and Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano (Reality show)

The Chandramukhi of the small screen, Kavita is popularly recognized as the frivolous lady inspector in the show F.I.R. She also hosted 'Arre Deewano mujhe pehchano' which was a celebrity fakeover reality show and is currently hosting 'Fakebook with Kavita' which airs on Big Magic. 'Fakebook with Kavita' provides a satirical take on the hypocrisy that exists in the Indian society.
