Tunisha Sharma suicide case: Sheezan Khan’s bail plea adjourned until January 11

Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case has left everyone with many questions. The actress committed suicide on 24th December 2022. The actress’ mother filed an FIR against her co-actor and alleged boyfriend Sheezan Khan and he has been detained by the cops. 

Sheezan is sentenced to fourteen days’ judicial custody while his family filed for bail plea. Today, in court hearing, Sheezan’s bail plea has been adjourned until 9th January.

On 7th January the case was heard in the court. Tunisha’s family filed an application for adjournment of case until January 13th. While court accepted the adjournment application, 9th January was given as the date for the next hearing.

Today, in the case hearing, Tunisha Sharma’s lawyer as well as his family reached for the proceedings. Tunisha’s family’s lawyer requested to further adjourn the case. The case will now be adjourned until 11th January 2023.

Tunisha’s family lawyer Tarun Sharma said, “We have asked for another date further & we'll be keeping our perspective in the court on January 11”.

Amidst the court hearing, Sheezan’s lawyer gave examples of high profile cases like that of Suraj Pancholi and Jiah Khan and claimed his clients’ release. There was also a mention of another man named ‘Ali’ in the case. 

Shailendra Mishra, Sheezan’s lawyer is confident on his client being declared innocent soon. He said, “The matter is sub judice and I can’t reveal much. Tunisha’s gym trainer has been mentioned in the media earlier as well and thus it’s not right on my part to comment on it.”

It was also augmented that Tunisha was alive after she was rescued by Sheezan and the other person from the sets and the matter can also come under the murder. On this Mishra said, "The complainant needs to be clear whether it is a suicide or murder. They are the ones who claimed that it’s a suicide. They have misled the investigation and given the matter a different look altogether which will not lead the investigative officers anywhere. Sheezan and Tunisha had moved on from their break-up and this is proved today by the opposition lawyer in the written submission. I don’t want talk much about her as she is no more between us”.
