Transgender Actress Shubhi Sharma, who plays the role of Chanda in TV show, Chand Jalne Laga feels her community deserves equal opportunity to work in the entertainment industry.

She said : I'm happy that finally somewhere in the entertainment industry, makers are considering us and giving us opportunities. But this is not enough I guess... As there are many shows and movies made on us or our community, and the makers are casting a women or man doing it transforming their look and making them look like us. And they ask us to join them as crowd artists which is really pathetic. There are many real transgender who look beautiful and are talented to play a protagonist or take such roles ahead. I wish to urge them not discriminate us and allow us equal opportunities like them.

She also feel it's high time when transgender community shouldn't be presented in a show to make audience laugh on them.

She continued, "Though actors like Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and others have became a big name portraying like transgender but they educated the society that we are a source of fun, people need to laugh at us. This was really not required and audience are appreciating them for their art. I don't see any art, because talent or any form art lights positive energy for everyone. I don't know how other transgender people look at it but I personally feel offended watching such acts."

Shubhi is known for featuring in shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2, Saavi Ki Savaari, Nath, Ishq Ki Dastaan - Naagmani among others.

All characters should be shown with due respect . Mocking anybody for his real life matters is not accepted by audiences .m
