Kaushiki reveals that she had to learn Bengali to essay this character as the show is Bengal based. Sharing the experience of learning Bengali, Kaushiki says, "The story of the show revolves around an era in Bengal. So, in order to play this character I had to learn Bengali. I had no clue about this language because I never spoke Bengali. However, I am lucky to have such lovely co-stars who helped me to learn this language. My on-screen husband and mother are Bengali in real life and they have a perfect command over the language, so I took lessons from them. Apart from this, I watched a few videos in Bengali. Now, I have learned quite a few words, lines or phrases in Bengali for the show. The first thing I learnt to say in Bengali was 'ami tomake bhalobasi,' and the second was 'khub bhalo.' With time, I would like to learn it properly because Bengali is a very sweet language."

Durga Aur Charu is the sequel of the fans' most loved TV show 'Barrister Babu' with Vaishnavi Prajapati and Aurra Bhatnagar in the positive lead roles and actress Kaushiki Rathore in the negative lead role.
