Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's Pacific Palisades Home Narrowly Escapes LA Wildfires

Hollywood power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson faced a close call as their Pacific Palisades home narrowly escaped the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The $26 million property, purchased in 2010, remained untouched, while a cliffside mansion directly above it was destroyed.

Their son, Chet Hanks, took to Instagram to express his concern, writing, “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn. Pray for the Palisades.” Although Hanks and Wilson acquired their current home after Chet had grown up, the family maintains deep connections to the area.

Before moving into their current residence, Hanks and Wilson owned a historic Spanish-style villa in the Pacific Palisades. Built in 1929, the couple bought the property as newlyweds and later sold it in 2014 for $5 million, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

In addition to their Pacific Palisades home, the couple owns an 1,800-square-foot beach house in Malibu, purchased in 1991. However, it remains unclear whether this property has been affected by the ongoing fires.

The Los Angeles wildfires, which ignited on Tuesday, have wreaked havoc across the region, destroying numerous homes and properties. Several celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and Leighton Meester with Adam Brody, have lost their residences to the flames.

The wildfires have caused significant damage, prompting widespread evacuations and emergency responses.
