Tisca Chopra: I hope Hostages receives as much love on TV as it got on Hotstar.

Hotstar Series Hostages starring Ronit Roy, Tisca Chopra, and Parvin Dabas is all set to air on Star Plus from tonight at 10:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. ‘Hostages’ revolves around four masked men, who break into the Anand family home, taking them hostage. Pushed into a do-or-die situation, Dr. Mira Anand has to make a choice.

We at India Forums got in touch with gorgeous and extremely talented actress, Tisca Chopra who is playing the lead character of Dr. Mira Anand in the crime-thriller. The actress was all smiles about her show being telecasted on Television after receiving immense love and appreciation on the digital platform.

Here are the few excerpts from the interview:-

1) Firstly, tell me how are you feeling about Hostages being aired on Television?

I am very excited to see how people would react to the show. Hostages is a great show indeed. We have made it with lots of love and I cannot wait to see how it is received by the viewers. We all are aware of the fact that the audience of the digital medium is much different than the Television audience. Hostages being aired on Star Plus is like giving a second life to the show. I hope it receives as much love on TV as it got on Hotstar.

2) Hostages is also coming up with its second season. What would you like to say about that?

Well, I am not a part of the second season of the show but the first season garnered much love and appreciation. I hope the second one will be great as well.

3) We heard that you have been trying your hand on Direction lately. Tell me something about that.

Yes, I have taken up an online course on Direction. It is a portal via Masterclass. At the moment I am doing a class with American Director, Martin Scorsese on Film Direction. I try to expand my horizon and try to do different things, so trying my hand on Direction for now. I am writing a feature film as well. I am writing a feature film called, Roobaru.

4) As an actor, what would you like to say about the difference between Television and Digital Platforms?

I feel as an actor you do not differentiate between the two. It is important to have an audience. If the work is well- made with the right intention the medium does not matter.

5) What kind of roles can we expect you in after Hostages?

Well, I would like to work in Human dramas. I would also like to go for a thriller as a genre. As for now, there is not much to do. I am waiting for the lockdown to end and life to get back to normal. There is a film we are supposed to work on, there is a web-series as well. Let us hope for the best.

Lastly, we asked the actress if she has any message for people out there considering the situation we are in. Tisca advised everyone to stay indoors as much as possible. The more things go out of hand, the worse it will be for everyone.
