Time constraint was a challenge in delivering grand wedding sequence: Teri Meri Doriyaann’s Siddhartha Vankar

The most anticipated sequence, that of Angad and Sahiba's wedding is finally happening in Star Plus show ‘Teri Meri Doriyaann’ on 27th- 28th February, 2023. The recently aired promo of the show looks dreamy, which depicts everything about how the makers of the show have conceptualized every frame with sheer creativity and realness. The theme of the wedding looks real and visually aesthetic. The television wedding looks like nothing less than a marriage that takes place in Bollywood films. Like every other television wedding Angad's marriage with Seerat comes with a twist. Instead of Angad and Seerat's wedding, Sahiba to sit at the mandap.

India Forums got in touch with the Creative of the show Mr. Siddhartha Vankar and quizzed him about the grand wedding sequence, the research for the same, limitations that they face and more.

Siddhartha said, “The wedding was always high point of the story. So we thought let’s make it a big and grand. When content is strong and we pad it with the look and feel, it certainly stands out. It takes a lot of time and efforts of the entire team to make the episodes good looking. But it’s the entire team who has worked day in and day out relentlessly to achieve this”.

Talking about the pre-production research, he added, “Yes we did research on each functions and what are the ceremonies, customs… how can we fit it in our story and how do we match our looks. Patels is the theme of the show… so our challenge was how to make it look rich classy and elegant and yet Punjabi and festive. The only limitation we had was time constraints. Doing a 7 day a week show has its own set of logistical problems”.

He added, “The Punjabi rituals were very different and with each ritual we had different looks and different themes of decorations. I had always envisioned this to be the grander wedding of TV and thankfully we have been able to achieve it. The story is unfolding a lot of drama and I hope just like people have loved the looks, they also love the story”.
