Dussehra also known as Vijay Dashmi marks the victory of good over the evil. It restores the faith on goodness in people. According to Hindu scriptures, Dussehra marks the end of the nine days of Navratri. This special day signifies the victory of good over evil after Lord Ram defeated Lanka king Ravana.

India Forums got in touch with ‘Meet’ actress Ashi Singh who shared her thoughts about the festival. The actress said, "The win of good over evil – I feel this thought behind Dussehra is very strong and holds a lot of meaning even in contemporary scenarios. We also learn from the history of these festivities how with the virtue of patience; everything can be achieved. The essence of the festival also highlights how an individual is on the right path as long as he adheres to his core morals and values.
