Ekta Kapoor's reboot of 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', featuring Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan and Hina Khan in pivotal roles is getting great response from the viewers for its story line as well as performances.
As reported earlier, the makers are set to introduce a new guy in Prerna's (Erica Fernandes) life who will help her in destroying Anurag (Parth Samthaan). After considering names like Namik Paul & Varun Toorkey, the makers have now finalized Siddharth Shivpuri to play the role of 'Vikrant' in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2'.
Siddharth Shivpuri confirmed that he is entering 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' as 'Vikrant' and told a leading daily that he is very excited to play the layered character and will start shooting for the show very soon. 'Vikrant' also has a part with 'Prerna' and he had helped her earlier as well. Initially, 'Vikrant' will be a positive guy with full of attitude but his real motive will be revealed later.
Namik Paul was first confirmed to play this role but later the makers finalized him to play the lead role in 'Kavach 2' opposite Deepika Singh. Later, Varun Toorkey was in talks but the deal reportedly failed to materialize over the budget. Now, Siddharth is set to enter 'Kasautii...' and it'll be interesting to see how Anurag & Prerna's equation will change post his entry.
On the professional front, Siddharth Shivpuri has also featured in various popular shows like 'Naagin', 'Sasural Simar Ka', 'Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya' and 'Krishnadasi'.
